It's been a year allready that I have my Shuttle and now I need to renew my Antivirussuscription.
I'm currently on Bitdefender and SpyBot Search and Destroy but would like to know if Bitdefender is still quit allright or if you guys know of any good programs to use.
I've bought Bitdefender and S-S&D for a year 30 US-dollars (converted to Euros it was allright) and I want good safety again on my Shuttle (also the LAN coming up so a complete new program might do some good).

So which antivirus is good and which Anti-Spybot?

I have always been using the home version of Avast. It is free (you just have to register to get an activation code), and I've never had any problems with it for many many years!

Might need to add, I'm be willing to buy an antivirus and such again. My Shuttle is pretty important to me.
I don't want a memory hog like Norton though...

Ive been using Nod32 Anti virus and Outpost for my firewall, both work brilliant, I hardly know they are there, definatly worth a look.

Never had any real issues with AVG personally. I tried Avast recently when AVG (for a day or so) had a false positive in bioshock.exe, but I just couldn't get along with it. Can't really define why, I just didn't like it.

I used to have a Norton subscription, and since moving to AVG Free I really haven't understood why any home users get any of the paid for stuff unless it comes bundled with their PC.

I also use Sygate Personal Firewall as a firewall, but my main protection is my BSD NAT gateway, so I don't know how good it'd be if exposed to the wider internet.

Tried AVG, Anti Vir, mcafee, norton, symantec and all sorts of other stufff. There is only one AV product worth looking at and that is NOD32 (thanks Gandy)

I've tried AVG, Avast, Norton, Kaspersky etc and the real winner is Nod32 for me too. It sits there very discreetly giving me NO false positives, and I've never been infected with it on (considering I download "shady" material thats a good track record) I can't reccommend it highly enough.

My computer is my precious. Made alot of hours to get it and protecting it with a good antivirus and antispyware is a must for me.
Is NOD32 including antispyware?

EDIT, just checked, without antispyware.
Which antispyware do you guys use in combination with NOD32?

EDIT 2, interesting read here;

I have tried the whole lot of programs as well, and for antivirus only though, Kaspersky is far the best imho. The functionality is really good and the load on the system is limited. I've used it for 4 years and I'm very happy with it.

Thulsa Doom

NOD32 here also, firsdt piece of AV software I've ever purchased.
Small footprint.

Use SpyBot S&D...it's free and good.
Also use Spyware Blaster, free again but you have to manually update.

Lameduck

I've used Kaspersky for 2 years without any problems. You can try it for one month (free of charge) and costs £40 for a two year contract.
Database is updated daily and the whole thing works seamlessly.

Same, NOD32 just grabs everything you throw at it.. and takes no resources.. I used a mix of AVG and AVAST for a long while.. but then i tried NOD32 and its really the best ive ever tried, even better then kaspersky tho that was one of my old favs.. NOD32 has a spy engine build in, but nothing wrong with Spybot - S&D as a suplement, especially S-S&D's immunize engine is nice ;)

I've read several reviews, it seems that bitdefender is still very good (rated #1) and NOD32 as #2/#3. Seems because I'm a previous user of Bitdefender I even get it a bit cheaper. I've decide to stay on Bitdefender therefor. Thanks for the info all.
Going to have a look in Antispyware from above suggestions.
