Muting players

For the first time I felt the need to mute a player last night. In fact I left the server as he gave me a headache :blink:

Now I don't mind a bit of idle chatter but honestly this guy wouldn't shut up for one minute.  

I'm not going to mention names as it's unfair (He's one of our younger members) and I'm sure he's a really nice chap but just thought I'd share that with you.

I have no idea who your talking about (Darklighter can get a bit loud!).  I believe the command you are looking for is sm_gag but it would be better to point out to him that he's getting too loud rather than just gag him (do it in friends chat if you want to make it discrete).

EDIT: Blunts suggestion will stop you hearing him, mine will stop the whole team hearing him.

You go via friends while in game. Then player list then mute. If it still works? I haven't used it in ages.
