Knifing can be fun

but when it means that your team loses a round or you are letting a team mate die because you are after a knife kill then you are all wrong. That is not TCS.

Sure we (the admins) allow fun on MH on Friday nights but now it has become common on all servers and any day of the week. TCS/PCS was founded on three basic rules:

1. Team
2. Objective
3. Kills

You should prioritise your team then the objective and at last kills. This doesn't mean you aren't allowed to knife somebody. However, if you by going for an unnecessary knife kill compromise either your team or the objective you should avoid it. Note that you are included in "team". So if you die taking unnecessary risks you compromise the team and the objective.

Seconded. I've never been someone who's going for a knifekill but lately I find myself trying to take people out with the knife aswell (on MH only as I don't have alot of CSS-gametime lately) and usually take them out in the back when they rushed by me. Usually ending in me getting killed though..

One thing that happend to me a few weeks ago; 2 people started charging up towards me with their knifes out; I take them out and what do they say; Ah come one, why not knife?
For me it's; Gun-Pistol-Knife...Fastswitch for the win...

I agree although I never think about using the knife (Why would you when you have a 12 gauge shotgun in your hands)

But i know some of the lads enjoy the kudos of a knife kill, also there seems to be a hell of alot more random players on Boomer at the moment which seems to be affecting the mood.

I think it helps when on spawn someone takes the lead and the general TCS should prevail.

I'm often glad when someone comes at me with a knife, I hear them switch to it which gives me a chance and then I just have to turn round and shoot. I'm of the opinion that while I still have bullets left, no matter what the gun I'll use them over a knife.

I find it so gratifying when I kill someone trying to knife me.. "stupid boy.. now you're dead"

Doc is right. Knife kills on MH are fun to go for but it is defo not TCS.

What T-bag is saying use your number keys to swap weapons fast or use the quickswap button. But that works for 2 the one you use now and the last one used most of the time your pistol...

imo its a much more "satisfying" kill to kill someone trying to knife u than an other random kill...
