Bono, lead singer of the rock band U2, is famous throughout the entertainment industry for being more than just a little self-righteous.
At a recent U2 concert in Glasgow, Scotland, he asked the audience for total quiet.
Then, in the silence, he started to slowly clap his hands, once every few seconds. Holding the audience in total silence, he said into the microphone, 'Every time I clap my hands, a child in Africa dies.'
From the front of the crowd a voice with a broad Scottish accent pierced the quiet ...

Gotta stop you on that one... In the past two years, Bono and The Edge have donated 7 million Euro to Charity...admittedly, a good few million went the way of Bono's wife's Charity for Chernoble children....
 
However, Bono and said wife have also devised a great way to part the Uber rich of their dosh...having started an Eco friendly clothing line selling "Fair Trade" stuff in very select stores...you know the type I mean...Tommy Hilfiger on speed kind of prices...going a bomb by all accounts...so

I would like to think that if I was also a multi millionaire then I would give large amounts of money to charity. As long as I had a lovely big home in Somewhereshire as well as a beach condo in Sunnybeach-land. An Aston Martin and a [SIZE=-1]Suzuki Hayabusa GSX1300R. Oh and enough money to keep me living like a king for ever.......
