Lfs's new car addition is proving to be very popular. Good close racing so far. Shaping up well. :thumbsup2:

It's a rush to drive this combo, I could do one good race last night, but did not have enough concentration to get going with the same pace later. Last combo was like walz but this is breakdance.

Nice. It takes a while to get used to a new controller, but for sure that is better than a mouse. After installing the software and the wheel, make sure that you don't use combined axis. If you have combined axis, then you cant independently use throttle and brake at the same time. Check http://en.lfsmanual.net/wiki/Wheels for tips on setting Force Feedback settings.

Iron

Yes, as Romus said it's very important to properly set up the force feedback settings, like this: http://upload.lfsmanual.net/images/6/68/LogitechSetup.jpg (of course you will not have the ability to set up the "degrees of rotation")

I had some good races and laps during the week, but then a crappy performance in the big race. I had a touch with Aquilifer, I could have avoided that, and got my car broken. Turned on the repair, but it did not seem to fix it. The car had a huge oversteering in mid corners and so I could not push there at all, which then caused tires to go cold. Perhaps part of this was due to heavier fuel load.

Great performance by Deetz.

Doorman

A well subscribed and a well organised race (ergo: no cockups by yours truly this time) Everyone was very careful for the first few corners and the race settled down for some promising duels. Then the disco devils struck. Lameduck, Oldie and ME!:ranting2: Don't they know who I am?

Anyway, 10 finishers out of 21 starters and guess who was 10th. Moi :)

Well done Deetz, a fine win.

Aquilifer

Sorry Romus again for the crash. I hit the wall in the corner and bounced off back to the driving line crashing with you. Nothing what I could have done after hitting the wall. I think it would have been quite hard to avoid my car

It is one of the South City track hazards - if the guy in front of you makes a mistake it can be very hard to avoid crashing him.

I was hitting walls throughout the whole race. Had to make a pit stop bit earlier because the front suspension wasn't raceable anymore. It didn't get much better after the stop either. If the front was understeery before the stop, now what rear end started to feel slippery too. My mistakes let many people pass me and my lap times were far from the 10 lap races.

The only good moment was in the middle when I was racing with Stoney for few laps.

To finish 6th was only because of many discos.

I watched the replay and I felt myself quite a stupid: why did I not brake or leave more room between us? But it's easier to judge when watching a replay. Hopefully this will teach me something. It was definitely not your fault, though your move actually caused it, I just should have left more room between us.

Deetz

Yessssss  :woot2:

I was very please to win that one, especially as I beat Moose, as he normally waltzes off into the distance. Though to be fair he did appear to have a problem.

A relatively simple race, after a tow down the pit straight behind DeeSlider helped me get pole with a new PB :thumb:  (Yess, a 1.19) I got a good start and led for the first couple of laps, gently easing into a quick pace as the tyres heated up.

Moose was quickly on my tail, and pressuring to get by. After a couple of laps he picked up my draft on the pit straight and got by into turn one. I didnt want to push too hard and flat spot a tyre or damage the car, so I just slotted in behind to follow. To my surprise Moose didn’t vanish into the sunset, and after I made a couple of small mistakes I was even able to catch back up.

After a few more laps Moose was starting to hold me up, and as I had done earlier, offered only token resistance as I drafted by on the pit straight. He later said he was just going to follow me round for a bit, as I had, when he had passed me. But again to my surprise, (I was a very surprised person today) I steadily pulled away once I had the lead.

Other that just trying to maintain a steady quick pace and moitoring the gap to second, that was it until the pit stops came round. My crew gave me an unnecessary tyre change which gave a bit of a start, but I came out of the stop still in the lead (phew), and maintained the gap to second until the chequered flag.

  Excelent.

My qualifying was compromised by dropping the Girls Aloud CD in the footwell at turn 3.

The race started ok, then I got held up by some old dear in the kebab shop wanting a chicken special. I made steady progress until a few laps out when I dropped half my doner and the gearshift got all greasy, so I couldn't downshift properly.

Again, I was really stunning at being lapped as usual.

This one went tits up from the start.:crying:
After qualifying i put the wrong race set on:doh: , bleedin' schoolboy error

I managed to have a decent fight with Mr Deetz for several laps, but realised i had no front end grip due to low tire temps.
Once Deetz had re-passed me i didn't try to push too hard as i knew i would end up in the wall.

The longer the race went on, the more time i was loosing per lap.
In the end i was happy just to bring it home.  It was as much fun as getting teeth pulled.

The only positive was that TwinFlow proved himself worthy of a full time place in the team:)

Grats to Deetz for a fine win:clap:

Seany

Congrats Deetz on the win.

Shame about the disconnects, of which I was a victim.  Think it happened about lap 5 for me.  I was looking forward to the challenge of this combo too. Ahh well, I did get a new PB in qualifying which really surprised me :yahoo: . I had not been comfortable with any setup for most of this combo, then for quali I went back to the first setup i had used and got that PB

in the end how many people got disconnected?  it seems maybe the server struggles a bit when it gets to over 20 drivers? :g:
