Source SDK

SDK is Software Development Kit. In Steam you could e.g. create a new mod for HL2 or you could use the program Hammer to create maps for various mods. I have been on Hammer a lot recently because I am learning to create maps for CSS. SDK is a free download (via tools tab in Steam) if you have bought HL2 for example.
 
If you see me on SDK and you send a message I might not see it as it doesn't pop up and flash as it does on Steam. I am not ignoring you it is just that something else is in focus. :byebye:

I once made a small map for DODS. I have often thought about porting one of my favorite dods maps over to cs i.e adding bomb points etc.

For anyone who has thought about mapping but never got round to it, give it a go. There are some great tutorials out there and although it can be frustrating to start with, it's great once you know the basics.

Read the first post. Source SDK is the Software Development Kit for the source engine in HL2.
