Quote from: Jewelz^;222395how long is the long one?

Thursdays are when we have the long 'uns.

Qualifying begins at around 20:00 for 20 mins.
There's then a break for people to empty/refill bladders.
1 hour race starts at 20:30

All times are UK based.

The qualification was hilarious again with Sean and me doing the same laptime. It can't be any closer than this. He ran it sooner than me though (i did it in the last lap of the quali), so he got the pole. Good work mate!
A huge sorry has to go out to Doors, because in my effort of doing a good lap I didn't back off, and I rear ended him. I just hope that I didn't ruin your best lap mate. :(

The start was clean, I followed Sean closely for the first few laps, than I had a chance to pass him on the finish straight, we were side by side approaching the chicane, I was on the inside, but he decided that he didn't want to take it side by side with me. :crying: So he backed off a little bit, and we swapped places, and I made a little gap between us, but then on the 8th lap I spun at that bloody chicane, so I was behind Sean again, and by a huge mark too. Luckily I managed to make a few good laps, so I slowly climbed back onto him, but only until I was 1.5-2 secs behind him, from then on I couldn't get any closer.
Then came the half hour mark, Sean went out to the pits for a quick windscreen clean by the pitgirls, and I stayed out for my usual late pitstop. I was hoping doing good laps, so I can be back at 1st place after my pitstop. But I spun again, this time at the fast right hander on the "back straight" (if I remember correctly), so my plans went up in smoke. Nevertheless, I kept my foot on the loud pedal, and hoped for the best. I pitted at about 3/4 into the hour, and for my greatest surprise I came out right behind Sean. Perhaps he made some mistake too?
So the final battle started between us. Sean ran a little wide at the back 90 degree left, so I could pass him, but he was right on my tail, so I had to watch out. Then sadly, he made another mistake*, which threw him into the grass I think, so then it was mostly game over. :(

Nevertheless, congrats to Sean for putting up a great fight, and of course congrats to the other podium finishers too, that is, all of you. :D :yahoo:

*Ah, watching that part of the race again reminds me that he said that someone disturbed him irl and that's why he drove off the road putting the car into the air. Too bad. :(

Congrats Iron :yahoo:

The Valentines night race.

Her reaction to me coming home with chocolates and flowers put me in a pole position, at race start I took up my position on the sofa. With a long pit stop at nine (Ashes to ashes) I continued on, a few hot laps later and I was in a good position. One more quick pit stop to put on fresh rubber, I gave a final push and finished.

I came second.

Congrats Iron

Was a great fight, shame about the end, we were hotting up to have a good close battle before my excursion :) . I think it was a "nick nack" on my front door. then my bro disturbed me to tell me, "theres no one there" lol.

Any way,  I took it quite slow at the start, that first chicane is quite unpredictable, for most of the race I actually avoided the curbs and went round them. Felt like for ever waiting for you to pit Iron. I was like "surely he'll pit this lap" :). You managed to pull away a bit on the laps before you pitted and as you went into the pits I ran wide on the last turn. I think thats how you came out just behind me.

good race all, was a fun combo. now lets wrestle some LX6 :) 3 minute lap times !!!! thts a long ass track :D

Unfortunately I was robbed of pole position by an accident involving Iron. I was on for a 1:15.03 easy. But hey ho. I had to make do with my second best time of 1:17.98 which put in in among the snivellers. There I stayed until, owing to various mishaps to people ahead, I dragged my way up to third from last! :yahoo: The game bit me on the bum when I said to myself 'Right, who's next on my hitlist?' I checked the race position list, grabbed some grass and made what was to be the first of several resets. But was I downhearted? You bet yo ass. :crying: Did I finish with a point? Damned right I did! :yahoo:
In all a really fun week. I admit that when Paavo chose the MRT my heart sank. Was I ever wrong?
Well done Iron, well done podiums, well done everyone.

With LX6 the front end comes after the rear end often
