If someone wants to come on alts and do some stirring,Instead of getting on with Guild Development,social or not,then they are not wanted.We have a good community in the guild,and that kid of behaviour is not wanted!

SoG does NOT need any more disruption at this point in time!

When he whispered me and asked if I had heard about the changes I asked him the same thing.  Believe it or not he speaks to people he knows and as an ex-SOG member he knows a lot of people here, including most of the past and present officers.  That's where he heard about the changes from.

As for the Genesis/SOG relationshp, I guess I am a bit biaised as I have a toon in both guilds, but most of the people there spent 2 of the last 3 years together raiding through Molten Core, Blackwing Lair, Temple of Ahn'qiraj and finally Naxxramus, so I'm guessing that the friendships that developed there have remained over the last twelve months.  Genesis & SOG have always maintained a friendly relationship (why would it be any other), and Genesis have invited SOG officers/members to Gruul/Magtheridon kills to help officers gain experience of the fight and have generally always tried to help SOG by allowing Genesis members to raid in SOG raids where you needed the help.  

I do not see SOG as a "second hand guild for Genesis members" as you do, that's very demeaning, I see it in many cases as an old SOG member, who has spent only 1 of the last 3 years away from the guild, returning to his/her original home.  You have to remember that the two guilds differ in their objectove - Genesis is a high-end raiding guild who raid for close to 18 hours per week.  When a raid member can no longer meet that punishing schedule they may decide to return to their friends who are distinctly not second-hand.

I have no idea why you introduced the Genesis/SOG relationship into this thread as it is about a single person's application, but hopefully the explanation of the vast amount of history that there is between the members of these two guilds will help a relative newcomer like yourself Goregrinder to understand the relationship better.

I don't think anyone considers SOG to be a "Seccond hand guild". SOG and Gen is two very different kinds of guilds, SOG has always been a social guild, and kreg amongst others, are all originally SOG members which joined  Gen when TBC got released for more hardcore raiding that SOG could offer at that point. (EDIT: Read b4 post, fair enough, good points tho)

If Kreg, or any of the old SOG members would like to join for the social bit of SOG, i would gladly sponsor them, I know many of them, and they are usually good chaps, Kreg is no different. What Kreg said, im pretty certain that hes not joining us just to stir things up. He is highly regarded in dMw and was highly regarded in SOG when he was here. Doing something like that would harm him more than he would like. I stand by my respose, let the kid in. I can't blame him for wanting a foot inside this fantastic guild just to have a chit chat with old guildmates. That is how we got some of the hardcore raiders back in the guild isn't it? Which reminds me, its luna-festival! :yahoo::yahoo:

i might be a newcomer TL, to this foray,but I have got the guild some good prgress,with the help of some very good indidviduals amongst the ranks!

And yes even some members from Genesis have helped!

I'll not jump off it as that would be pretty pointless.  Those that know me realise that the soap box never had a chance and now resides in a flat-pack world.

well one the 1 side i think okey hes a old SoG bla bla bla....but if he wants to talk to ppl from SoG ...why not /w them and as ive seen a bit Genesis lost some members(but i guess im not the only1 noticing that) maybe hes just trying to confince ppl that Genesis is better then SoG and ect ect... and dont forget maybe trying to throw some salt in the "wounds"
caus as far as i know the reason SoG aint a hardcore raiding guild anymore is caus of the guild Genesis being created and so ppl of SoG left.
