i was never a great lover of the Lx6 so when i heard it was part of the next combo my heart sank!!
but after a few days and a lot of gravel experditions!!! i am starting to look at the Lx6 in a different light:crazy:
nice car, but its one hell of a journey round As gp !
suppose i should be glad i'll be missing the 1 hr endurance :narnar:

I do concur mate, when I first picked up this combo I was like OMG!! impossible but after a while and some wheel tweaking (finally sussed out the wheel) I started to really enjoy things.
Although 20 seconds off the pace atm I just love picking up speed on the quick areas of the track you really feel like you are shifting in the old LX6.

Gonna put as much practice as I can in im a hope to make qualification on Thursday!!

Del is right what a journey the course is though!

Yes, it's a long old trek. Did you see Oldie just past the chicane by the old pits? I thought he'd spun off, then I saw him unpack a picnic table and a wicker hamper from out of the boot.
Will strip for badges

yeah saw that, but i thought the deck chair & bucket and spade was pushing it a little ! :lmfao:

I like long tracks. This works with lx6 quite well because it doesn't have so many slow corners.

I think the corners between 1st and 2nd split can tricky but fun.

delankster

:yes2:i must admit that the middle section of this track is superb !!

Nobody interested in sharing comments about the long race? :)

My qualifying didn't go quite as planned. Those 2 laps I was able to do without having to slow down because of other cars, I managed to mess up in a way or other. Result was 1.5 secs down of own PB :sideways:

In the race there was no problem with tyres not lasting. Maybe it was the fuel load of 85%, but my car feeled bit more understeery especially in T1 and  the split2 corner.

Before the race I was very worried how I could do 1h without spinning, but I was amazed I didn't spin even once. There sure was slippery behaviour and car going sideways sometimes, but no real spins. In the race I had some very entertaing racing with Oldie. It seemed we were very close in speed and always when other managed to overtake it was because the other had done a small mistake. Too bad Oldie spun later and no more close racing after that. Sometimes it was bit scary because I didn't know how fast I could try to drive without risking too much. My strategy was all the time not to drive quite as fast as in 5 lap races because I wanted to finish and counted that there must be 2-3 ahead of me who have problems.

Being 5th in the end was better than I had hoped for so I have to be happy for that.

I have a comment! :woot2::woot2: First few laps were great. It felt like I was in a race for a change. :yahoo: My favourite memory was of chasing down BFC and being very 'attacky', when suddenly Crazy appeared in my mirrors. Amazing how quickly one goes from 'attacky' to 'defencey'! Brilliant stuff. Nice long lap meant I didn't see a blue flag aaaaaall night. :D
Well done Iron. From pole to podium, way to go!
Special 'well done' to Jewelsy for finishing a tough race. :thumbsup2:
Oh, and don't take any notice of me, I don't mean half of what I say. The trick is to figure out which half! :g:
:lmfao:

Another great week of racing. CTRA, eat your heart out. :norty:

Oh oh oh, not one wrong button press all night.

Yes. I have to say this is not a small achievement. Tricky car, a long not easy to learn track, with mouse and being a new driver.

Maybe we could try some sort of speed balancing. If you are fast during the week in the small races you are 'entitled' to some extra weight :norty:

Iron

Well, I have not much to say about it, as it was pretty smooth for me. However John put some pressure on me for the first 15-20 minutes, by not falling behind too quickly (have I mentioned yet that I hate being chased, I prefer being the chaser instead), later on I was alone on the track, and though at some points I had concentration issues, and because of that I did some bad driving, I managed to improve my pb in the end, on the last lap in fact, so I was happy.

All in all, it was a good race. Cheers, and congrats to you, chaps.

Jamin

Congrats Iron :yahoo:

Jewelz^

what can i say, 4 PB's, everyone lapped me (lol) and some people twice.. started to lose concentration then did. absoloutly hated the car at first, then about 5 minutes in, i learnt it was quite good if you can control that backend with all that power. So i enjoyed the race and went round a learning curve :)
Good Race came 15th :narnar:
