From my own point of view this combo is both very satisfying :).... at the same time MAKES YOU WANT TO TEAR YOUR HAIR OUT! :taz:
Just when you think you've got it nailed LFS up and kicks you in the ass.
I have seen this throughout the whole spectrum of talent from superstars to also-rans
Still, it'll sort out who has what the Finns call, 'see-soo' and who hasn't :norty:

I agree, every combo can be satisfying at some point. Getting there with this one took me a bit longer than usually, perhaps because I'm not used to driving over kerbs, and here you need to do it with in two places to get a good time. The track still gives me surprises and also tires are going red quite easily.

I found this to be a nice combo for hotlapping or cruising (if you like that sort of things). Kind of relaxing...until your front tires get red and the car starts to understeer.

For racing this combo is nasty. I think the track is bit too narrow and full of curves to FOX. If there is no huge speed difference between  cars, overtaking can be very hard. Unless the other makes a mistake. And it is easy to make mistakes here. Especially if you are racing inches from the other one one trying to find the overtaking place. I think the long race is also a big test for consistent reliable driving.

A very enjoyable race. I had only one short moment when I had to say "wake up" to myself. It was also nice to put pressure on BigFatCat but it did not help me. Tires were very good till the end, no problems at all. I tried to be ultra smooth on them.

that had to be the most frustrating race so far for me , second bend the monitor went blank no picture then when re appeared i had crashed, it was bad with the front wheel hanging off and the steering wheel at 180, very long pit to correct damage, got back on track then sure enough 20min later screen goes blank, then 20mins after that screen goes blank, all in all i have found that vista has as default min power which shuts the monitor after 20mins, never did this before but because there was a service pack 1 update a few days ago the settings come with the update!!! never mind on with the next race!!!:crying:

@Spud
Jeesh, that's sucks. You made a good overtake in the first corner IIRC, but then that happened. :(

I picked the R2s (front and back) even I had my doubts how well they last. ( I hadn't tested R3 more than once and then they seemed to understeer so I would have needed to tweak settings too). Anyway they worked as well as I suspected...First they were fast, then around laps 10-20 they were shite and terrible understeer. Then they got thinner and cooled a bit so they started to work again bit better. But then I pitted around lap 25 and pit crew changed my front tires so back again the same cycle: works perfect, terrible and fair.

I had good racing with Deetz. I was able to keep him behind first, but when my front tyres started to get hot he caught me and I had really no means to stop him. I managed to overtake him with my pitstop, but the same thing happened again when my second set of tyres got hot...doh :sideways:

Once when I was overtakng Ron, at the bridge straight (overpass), I was driving on the left and he was on the right. We were coming to the fast left hander before the uphill. I hadn't managed to get clearly past him and the turn in place for the corner was coming fast so I got a flash of the last race in BL1R. Luckily I managed to brake enough and avoid badgers this time :rolleyes:

Congrats for all finishing...and the winner (who probably doesn't read this :g:)

I thought it was great! BFC, Oldie and myself have a touring club run going for quite a while. Then Oldie pulled in at a roadside cafe, presumably to let the kids and missus go to the toilet. All went swimmingly until Deetz came bellowing up behind me making me dither with his instructions! Intimidation I call it. :flirty: This allowed BFC to slip by in his wake. Justice was serve later on when I spied a dark blue car loitering on the grass verge. :norty: Poor old Stoo had his ear'ole blasted when he spun and I clobbered him. Sorry Stoo, heat of the moment outburst.
Great race, loads of starters and a goodly supply of finishers. :D
