Well, I am gonna cut to the chase.

Recruitment:
We need more people.
And we need to be quicker with our recruitments.
People are waiting way too long before they get replies on whether they are accepted or not.
Oth went through the bin the other day and there were applications laying there dated a long time ago.

I do NOT say you dont do a great job, because you all do. I really think you all are pitching in.

But we need to be quicker.
I will be abit more active, and I dont mind occasionally looking at the application forums and get some speed in the invites to accepted people. (Oth can do the technicallities about moving posts around, its so great to be dating a geek :))

And then I wonder: Is there another way of publishing to people that we need more people? I mean so that we get more people to apply?
I know we risk ending up with duchebags, but I believe that within the initiate time, a person will show their true self. And then we can just kick them, and tell them they didnt comply to our requirements as members and we are sorry to say they are out. We can also extend the initiate period?

Raid:

We have to be more strict.
At last nights raid, I saw a bunch of unmotivated people going to ZA.
People DCing, wasnt ready for the raid (my addons was one of the reasons why we were late, and for that I need to improve), and some others nagging about going to kara instead.
When a person signs up for ZA, they have to commit to ZA. They can't just expect that when we wipe 3 times, we go to kara with alts. Like that, we never will have any progress, its like taking a step back. If we have to call a ZA raid like last night, we shouldnt go to kara.
Also, if the internetconnection is that bad as Iressa's was last night, then one shouldn't sign up for a raid where we need all people.
Oth and I had a BAD BAD latency last night and we both told Jas that if it didnt solve before raid we would drop so at least some people with a decent connection and latency could come and get the raid going. The latency fell right before raid fortunatly.
Then its the attitude to some people.
Last night goregrinder basically told in raid that Oth and I wasnt good enough to be in the raid. That really upset me, and I am really close to kick him from the guild, because his attitude isnt good in the general guild either.
Swearing in guildchat and being rude to other people. But I counted to ten and have settled down. (Besides I dont kick anyone unless theres an agreement in the officers.)
Alot of people kept moaning alot last night, more than usual, and to be honest, I felt sorry for Jas who was the leader.

I know its not easy when Gorion is absent, but let's at least use the powers we have to keep this guild going.

And thank you TL for the 25 man raid template!

This is my thoughts about our situation right now.
And I can't press enough I do not mean you officers arent doing your job, because you do all you can.
And I know its not easy. Keep it up!

So, any thoughts?

PS: can someone (hinthint gorion) tell spiritus that he can have his officer rank back? He's a really valueble asset to us, and he is much more active both on drucilla AND spiritus. Oth and I have been doing dailies with him for the last week.
