It was about time the LX4 got chosen again. This car is pure beauty, handling wise. Not that it doesn't look good. :flirty: Oh and that sound. You can clearly hear all the 140 (not so) little horses. Oh, have I told you yet that I love this car?

I'm using a setup from setupfield, and I think it's pretty good, without any modification so far. If anyone wants it, just gimme a shout.

yeah have to agree with ya aron, this little baby is a cracking car
and gives you such a buzz driving it :)
It is better to stay quiet and act the fool, than to say something and remove all doubt

After a shaky start, what with Ventrilo server being down 'n' stuff, we finally sorted ourselves out and had a terrific evening's team racing. True to form I fouled up the first race (sorry Todd) but had a sparklingly average time of it for the rest of the evening.(unless anyone can remember differently) It was so good that most of us old farts were still racing at 22:15, a record!

Aye, was good fun alright.  Sorry again Ron for my controller calamities  . I was coming onto the main straight and i heard that "bing bong" noise of a USB device being unplugged, then it plugged itself in again and the car did a 180 leaving me traveling up the track backwards ( much to Vobler's amusement :D ).  I had a couple of controller issues earlier during quali, but not that bad. it even left me without Vent 'cause of my Push to talk button on the wheel was no longer recognized

Aquilifer

Yep, good races. Too bad that I forgotten it was the team race night and it was already 21:30 BST before I remembered. (was scripting and time was flying)

Week before I had had problems with my mic as nobody could hear me. Luckily I found what the problem had been few days before. I never paid much attention to the fact that Oldie had said something like "can only hear the engine". I had put the recording from the sound loopback instead of mic to record something from internet and forgot it on. So when I pressed the speak button people could only hear my car engine

No, getting 1mm closer would result in you being banned for deliberately wrecking. :narnar:

Lovely race. I was happy to stay on first place after the first lap and I was hoping to keep Iron behind for a few laps, just to get a bit push and learn driving under pressure. I'm often a lot better when there are no others around. In the first laps I felt that Iron could have been faster, but there was no room for him to overtake me.

At about 30 minutes I was starting to feel tired, as usually, but this time I had refreshments, Gatorade, which indeed helped me to stay fresh. Iron could overtake me, but I did not lose my pace. He could increase the gap to about 5 seconds, but I thought that most of the races are decided in the last minutes, so I kept on doing my best. When I came out of the pits and saw that I was 1st, I had to work hard to suppress good feelings to be able to drive error free. Awesome. Now lets enjoy of the RAC.

After what can only be described as a calamitous couple of days I had a really good race. Managed to **** Ben off by whacking the barriers at the bus stop :norty: Sorry bubba. Fortunately he wasn't put off and a few laps later there he was in my mirrors again. :) We proceeded to have a cracking battle during which he pushed me to a few PBs :thumbsup2: It came to an end during the last 15 minutes (I think) when he made a last ditch lunge up the inside of T1 causing me to get unsettled. (Good racing move. Don't get the idea I'm complaining. I was disappointed in myself for allowing it to happen ) Off he when into the distance.
Apart from Ventrilo being a right royal PITA, a good night. Even SP3 was installed without problems this time.
Well done Romus, a great win!
Bloody shame about Dee Slider. Hey ho, life's a bitch...and then you die. :D

I did a god qualy. I was afraid it was too good. Being up there with the "lions" was scary. For the first time with LFS I suffered fps problems and luckily I managed to get through the first few laps without any problems and it all settled down. Now I was one or two places down, but managed to push and do a good stint. After the slightly early pit I was even further back, but slowly gained a place now and then when people pitted. Little racing for me this time, but I managed to unlap my self in the last minutes so I am happy with my 7.th place.

Iron

Another bloody disappointing race... :sideways:

Qualification was tight, managed to quali myself to 3rd, behind Romus and Dee Slider. I don't remember exactly, but I think I was second by T1. Race statistics shows that Dee fell behind the whole grid.

I was chasing Romus, at the first 10 laps very close, but no overtaking opportunity, because I was faster only at the tighter part of the track. Then I fell behind a bit, but perhaps due to some mistakes from Romus' part I got close again, and managed to overtake him at the corner after the back straight, although I think he gave in too easily there, like he was too tired to fight.

So I was in the lead, lapping comfortably at a good pace until that mistake which ruined it. I don't know exactly how, but I managed to stuff the car into the barrier at the exit of the slight left turn under the bridge before T1, which in turn threw me spinning into the white/red barriers on the left, at the pit exit, leaving me facing the wrong way. My front right suspension was gone, so I decided to repair it in the pits. Perhaps a bad choice, maybe I wouldn't have lost 35 seconds if I were just lapping the remaining 8 laps with the broken suspension, and would have came in 2nd in the end instead of 3rd, because Kev was farther behind. Well at least it'd have been more exciting than sitting in the pits for 30 seconds watching the minimap. But who knows?

Congrats for the win Romus, the race was most enjoyable while you were in front. It's very rare when the one behind is only slightly faster (if at all) than the one at the front, and from that come the best battles.

Anybody got the replay? Please post it!
