Love this car and combo.:D
There were no suitable setups at Inferno, so I obtained a set from Setupgrid.net in their Endurance section.
http://www.setupgrid.net/1/setup/endu/get/UFR@AS7
On inspection the spec looked strange, with ultra low pressures in the front  R4 tyres and R2 on the rear, but I found the handling twitchy (even Deetz said it was bit too twitchy :sideways:) but predictable.
The tyres keep a reasonable temperature and if you do overheat them, a few corners (showing a little moderation) soon allows them to cool. The only alterations I have made were to remove 10kg from the front end and reduce the braking capacity to 460nm as the fronts had a tendency to lock on the downhill approach to T1.
Now its confession time. Forgive me Doorz for I have sinned. Whilst checking World Records on LFS Dektop I noticed Boogle had entered the lists in 2nd place for this combo. Not having any of HR team beating dMr I thought :boxing: besides which he had posted a laptime I knew I could beat. No thought of personal glory, you inderstand, purely for the honour of dMr :dmw:. Did a quickie and uploaded to LFS displacing the upstart. :showoff:
Imagine my horror on checking the listing again to find that John f&^%${g  Rees had displaced me into 3rd spot. :dummy:The nerve. I notice that he is officially an LFS 'nutter'.
I promise not to Hotlap ever again, and if found to do so, I will buy all those attending LAN XIV a large one.
Can't be fairer than that.

Replay has been uploaded for anyone that....w a  n  t' .......

Good race. Stayed out of trouble. Got two points! :yahoo:

Off to have a look at the replay to see how far I pushed Oldie off. :byebye:

 Yep. I did wander over towards him and made him take avoiding action and go on the grass. It was one of those "Where is he" glances. NOT an excuse. Sorry Oldster. :crying:

That has happened to me too. Except in my version I go off the track when I try to look wher the othe guy is. It seems much better not to look around :sideways:

I hadn't been driving much of this in few days. In the qualifying I managed to find some more speed and amazed myself to be in the 2nd place.

The race setup worked with R4 in front. Only in few corners I had coast not to smoke them. Venca was too fast for me so I settled to my 2nd place. This is exactly when my problems start. It became boring soon and started to make mistakes. I did 3-4 spins or excursions out of the track. I had a good gap to the 3rd place (about same as Venca was in front of me). Stupid mistakes quickly ate the gap and the spin before the pit stop gave Sean a free pass past me. With a quick pit stop and furious driving I managed to get back to the 2nd place after the pit stop. But I don't know if it was me getting tired or did the tyres feel less grippy after getting thinner, but I slided again out of the track and a whole bunch of people shot past me. :taz:
It was maybe 5-6 mins before the end so no chance getting the runaways. So the 2nd place turned to frustrating 4th. Otherwise I would have been happy for it. I also can't say the race would have been good because I didn't really 'race' with anybody except Venca and Andy in the beginning. That was great, but after that in became boring....sadly.

The combo was great and fun to drive and I must say one of the best tracks for UFR what I have ever tried :) Congrats to all... (it gets hard to invent new ways to say this and I start to sound repetetive :sideways: ) ...who finished. Bad luck Ben about the disco

Cracking race!  For me the most enjoyable one since joining this server.

I qualified in 10th nowhere near my PB and using Venca's setup managed to stay mainly on the track most of the race.

I benefitted from the misfortune of others to gain a few places, chased madly after Romus and was in a close race with him. Dee, Lameduck & CrazyR1 up until the pitstops.

After the pits it was hotlapping to the end and I managed to get 5th (more points :yahoo:)  Very nearly lost it to Dee on the last lap though.

Great combo, great race, great company - Cheers
