Isn't it funny that the fun has left the servers, It seems it's not a community, more like a army barracks lol.
Last night i was going to get banned from a clan i was in (dMw) before it ever come to the internet (duke nukem FTW).
I'm not that active on forum so i didn't find out you can't shoot dead bodies?:g:

But the point is, i was given a kicking straight away:boxing:, not even a warning, To many power crazed admins about:ranting2: lol

Come on lads let's stick together and make this clan a great community like it was before, I hear to many people on other servers putting this clan down due to the behavior of people attitude's :ranting2:

Well your bravo so you should know that shooting bodies isn't the way to go on dMw servers. That they banned you straight away is maybe a lil harsh, but you should talk this over with the admins that where on, at that time, instaid of making a topic about it.

d|s did not get banned straight away; he did not get banned at all (certainly when I was there).

d|s was warned by Sadako for shooting dead bodies - an act that Sadako said he has warned d|s about before. d|s decided to argue the fact and Sadako said that if he could be banned if he didn't stop. At this point I interjected and told him that shooting bodies was not acceptable - no discussion needed and if he didn't like it he could leave.

You were not given a "kicking" but you were given a warning; the reason that is was given in such a forceful manner is that you have had several warnings about your behaviour already. I'll say no more on that as it should not be discussed publicly but as you are the one casting accusations regarding the admins then you can fully expect to receive some feedback and also that other community members get to know that the admin response was not an isolated incident but one of several warnings you have had for not following the server rules.

Saying that you do not frequent the forums and didn't know is unacceptable! As a bravo you are expected to frequent the forums and to help maintain the standards of dMw.

It is not up to us to conform to your ideals d|s; it is for you to conform to the dMw ethos.

I could post a lot more but I would suggest that you spend a little more time on the forum and read your PMs more often - there is still one at least that shows as unread!

Thought this was a community where we could say what we feel is unfair or wrong?.
This community is a circus, either your in the "click" or your just a guy on the other side of the internet.

DIS is a senior member like me of dMw and deserves some respect, he speaks his mind and don't talk in computer jargon.
After all this is meant to be a community which im sure some of you guys in the "click" are.
But for us who arent in it dont mean we dont deserve some respect, we're not kids or teenagers who live for this gaming. We play it for fun, but somehow somewhere the fun is running out. I notice the older guys all get on well and i notice that sometimes us younger guys get spoken down to. I dont need to explain myself anymore.

Either this is a community where we can talk about how we feel about the clan or how we play, or its a boring church guild where we get criticized for explaining how we feel.

Take this how you want i dont even care.

If you read this right you would see that i didn't say i was banned or kicked.

I was never warned about this action before and i don't do it often!

Although I would like to I am not going to close this thread because I know I will just get whined at for being heavy handed. However, I intend to continue the discussion with d|s via PM as there are certain things that need sorted out!

I suggest that people think carefully about what they intend to say before posting anything further in this thread.

There is no clique. On a personal level there are people I have time for and people I do not; however, I do not let that get in the way of trying to help everybody in the community.

Sorry you feel targeted d|s, I was on the same team last night and it was only a little warning. You weren't being picked on or anything from what i saw/heard so just a little misunderstanding

Don't feel put off the servers - just remember not to shoot bodies and all is well.

Yet you jumped on me for raising a concern about the Last Stand Perk in the cod4 forums? Bit of double standards there :blink:

Havn't noticed any "click" and I thinking your making a mountain out of a molehill

was only a little warning to d|s, the admins arn't targetting people.... unless its with an ak47!

Can i suggest you go into "User CP" (see top menu) and then "Edit Options" and set things so you get an email sent or a forum popup window if you get a PM? I use them and they are pretty useful tools so I dont miss things.

On the subject of Cliqueness (spelling lol?) I don't see any old ppl huddling together or other way round. To be honest I only know the ages of a few ppl and they are mostly the ones I met at the LAN.

For instance I get on well with Butta in game and out and I'm twice his age I'm sure.

One thing I have learnt in life is that if we start talking about cliques and such then they often happen!

I suggest that we all do our bit to welcome new people and correct them gently when they are wrong and for those stubborn fools (who've been around a while) who disobey the rules I suggest we deal with them as privately as possible to negate any bad feeling during games. I for one was a little embarrassed at the 'telling off' at d|s.

For the sake of the good standing of the community (word DOES get out) I suggest we do as above:

1) New people treat very kindly and gently - I was new once and didn't see the signs, thankfully Browne was there with his Guiness and accent and I was happy

2) Old hands should be dealt with privately wherever possible if things look like they are heating up in game, because the 'telling off' distracts the gaming almost as much as the rule breaking in the first place.

I remember joining yonks ago and dead bodies were shot.
Maybe I took no notice, but I don't remember anyone getting ticked off.

I'm trying to understand how it is disrespectful! You shoot someone in-game in the hoping of killing that character.

It will get to the point where something is talked about too often that shouldn't really be an issue, but then becomes an issue.
Personally I think this is one of them. Most admins will likely disagree.
