A good public server?

But if we all go on public servers when there ours is empty it will never have anyone on it.

Ah I remember the FFS.. They were always frun.. A little too uptight about their no-cursing rules, especially as people thought their name stood for For "Flip's" Sake.. But the games were good and the banter interesting..
Are they still trying to run 1 week of modded maps and 1 of regular? I gave up on their server when they went to modded maps tbh

I went on one or two of their mod nights.....interesting :g:It was then that I discovered that loading a mod renames your classes as default.

well done Ktf, althought i should mention that due to a major mess up by our hosting poeple the servers have now swapped.

also, we do now also have a modded CoD 4 server running customer maps and PAM4 but im thinking about changing it to a CoD 5 server so i wont post the I.P till i come to a decision

Apologies, at the time of my other post it was the right server.

Sorry to have to ask this of you DMw'ers, but {fgs} really need help with the sever. It's sitting dead for days on end and we're running the risk of losing it, and with it the clan. So please, if any of you have some spare time and fancy a game think about joining our server: 217.163.28.143:28960
Not asking anyone to spend time away from the Dead Men server, but maybe if it's empty you could help us out? Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hey guys, just wondering if any of you will be interested in joining my server for a while later today, around 6-7pm is the best time to get the server started, we could really use a good few people 4-6 in the server to help get it started, since we've had problems and had to swap over the server I.P's we.ve had a few problems getting regulars and your help would very much be appreciated.

ill also be home from work about 11PM if any of you are still on.

You've already made one request for our members to help you get people on your server. There's no need (and we wouldn't accept it) for repeatedly posting these calls for help. You've already stated that you wouldn't want people to spend time away from dMw servers but the simple fact is that if someone joins our server - others tend to follow. If they're off playing on yours then, inevitably, ours will suffer.

Like you, our CoD4 server is in its infancy. However, ours is still private so relies entirely on being used by our members.

I sincerely hope you can manage to get your server more popular but there's a limit to the amount of help you should request here and to the amount of help we can realisticly offer.

Having said all that ... 6pm to 7 pm is very early for most of us with jobs/kids/lives so if any of our members feels like joining you for this early session then fine. Just make sure you drag your sorry butts back here after that.

Good luck and see you on a server ... somewhere :thumb:

sorry dude, diddnt mean to spam, i am very gratful for you to allow me access to your server and am sure that one or two of your players would help us out too,
