What you hear is the death knell of netKar Pro. Shame, there was so much promise in that sim. So; LFS still rules! :D

Now, where can I put another chicane?

Don't even think about it!

Stefano is unbelievable! :ranting2: With this poxy patch just about to be released and it is acknowledged as being ready, he decides not to release it until he comes back from some jaunt! this leaves Jaap once more having to defend the ramparts!

Poor Jaap. I think he feels pretty helpless in this situation. Imagine having to deal with someone like Stefano.. Well, I guess two more weeks won't really matter considering people have been waiting for two years already. ;)

Hey, I'm an "unfortunate noise" now. Should I take that personally..? :P

Yeah. And after reading his first message I rushed out to get "my popcorn", but when I came back 30 minutes later the film was already over.

Oh well. We hopefully get the iRacing update one of these days. So its no big loss. I look forward to the trucks.

In the mean time we can enjoy the FZ5 on "nearly an oval".

The thing is, its not ready, take my word for it :)    The main stuff has been addressed but there are still far to many small bugs that need ironing out.  I'm pleased it isn't being released yet because it really would be the end if it was.

I'm inclined to believe you, but why is Jaap and others saying it's ready? That would seem to be setting themselves up for another kicking.

I don't know. Jaaps not stupid, he must know it's not ready yet.  The latest release which we got mid week has a 5 page bugs thread.

I hope they see sense and don't release it for a month or so.  It needs to be as close to perfect as possible otherwise it's going to get panned.

Still, we did some testing last night and it does feel great. I still prefer it to iRacing, feeling wise. (plus it has the bonus of flatspots and brake heat, hopefully both will make the final release)  If only it had laser scanned tracks to race on i think a lot of people would agree.

That post gives me more cause for being positive about nKP than anything in the nKP forum. A little honesty goes a long way in my book. :thumbsup2:

We'll it's only my opinion, but i feel it's a far more realistic view of the current situation.

..and just to make it clear, my thought on the feeling of nKpro in comparison to iRacing is based on the F2000/FTarget and the formula Mazda.

nKpro is always going to feel a little less 'lively' due to iRacings fantastic track modelling.

.

Yes the new Formula Mazda is very fun to drive.

Not as much fun as the winged SS cars in nKPro though IMHO, though the Mazda on the ovals was some of the best sim racing fun i've had in years :)

Wow.. if even you find the ovals fun, I guess I will have to try it some day too! Being prejudiced is never a good thing, but I must admit I've been prejudiced against oval racing in general.

I never really got into oval racing before, but I've been absolutely loving it in iRacing.  Its certainly changed my opinion.   There's something extremely sphincter puckering about racing in a big pack of  cars on an oval that you just don't get in road racing.   :racing::ohmy:

Me too. I tied the Trucks yesterday. What a blast. 600 hp and over 300kph in a draft. Even more fun than the small/medium ovals in the legend and late model. (Did not try the Mazda last week)

I had one terrible and one good race. The terrible race was due to yellows and that I got a penalty that I could not clear. (Nim in iRacing says it is a bug) (Best lap though; 47.7 on Daytona)

The other one was much better, only two caution periods and lots and lots of close fighting. Those cars are a blast, honestly!

You say winged carS. There are only one usable winged car in NKP. The FTarget is flawed (tires) . Infact there is only one car in NKP. Because the FF's are also flawed (shifter).
