LAN Switches

Instructions said insert disk 2 but I could only get 1 floppy in the drive :-(

OK we are at LAN minus 5 weeks and it is time to smartne this thread up.

Does anyone else have any switches they can bring?

When we have these answers then we should talk about network design.

OK, we have the following Cisco switches en route to the LAN:

Tugs: 2 x Cisco 2924 switches
Benny: 1 x 2924 switches

Do we need any more?

I have 2 2924's (10/100Switch) I'm gonna bring, whether we use them or not I don't mind, but the option will be there.

Guys it seems between you you have 4 Cisco switches to bring!

BRING THEM!

For we will need one cisco switch at either end of the room for the game lan AND the fileshare lan!!

I'll be bringing cat5, crimps and bits to make up cables if required.

Guys, please please please try and clear the switches of all confs, then PLEASE setup port 1 as a full duplex 100Mbit port (to be used for linking the two switches for each lan).

Also for the dMw peeps, if you want some what less in the way of restictions on when you can move files round the lan make sure your PC has TWO NICS, thats right "T.W.O Network Cards".....

there will be no file shuffling on the games lan during game time... which from what I recall is like 9am in the morning till 3am following morning..... well perhaps with the exception where the person whos NIC your raping agrees to it.

TL, thats still the plan yes?
