They should make a ingame movie or something that I could remember all what has happened in WoW past the years.

Well not quite with the lore, but I'm having hard time putting the pieces together about the old story in lore and all the new stuff that has happened before and after TBC. And it doesn't help that I had almost a one year break due to military service and I have only gone through Kara in TBC.
    SO what happened in TBC in the story, what bosses did what who how ? And now in Wotlk all the races are joinin to defeat Arthas ?

  I'm not talking about the things that happened to us in every single quest but the _big_ picture, like you would have fast rewinded the played time.

Edit: If you are playing death knight, aint that like you have abbandoned your faction and are going your own goals ?
Feels odd that alliance could have DK's while thinking about the "light" o.0

Well Lex, TBC was all about killing the 3 baddys that were left in Warcraft 3, the Frozen throne: Illidan, Vashj and Kael. At start of TBC they were all together, planning to conqure all of outlands, but at some point Kael turned against them and joined with the burning legion so that he could summon Kil'jaden,who was still mad about Illidan since he couldent destroy lich king in Warcraft 3, so you could say Kael was pulled to the burning legion so Kil'jaden could have his revenge and teach Illidan what it means to fail a Legion leader.
 
Now in Northrend Arthas has started to move on the living to conquer all to his will. And since this game is still good vs evil it makes sence that both horde and alliance team together to stop an ultimate evil from killing them all. But they get tricked when a fraction in the undead faction betrays them to kill everyone aswell.
 
PS. The deathknigts are dead ppl who have fallen in battles, and since ALL RACES have casulties its common sence that DK can be every race.
