Looking forward to the race tonight. However, I have my doubts if I'll be able to keep it on the grey stuff for an hour :D. Pretty happy with my PB but consistency and an exuberant right foot could be problematic

good luck everyone :)

delankster

yeah , totally agree with ya
over the 6 laps we have been doing its not been to bad but...... and its a big but

i find that once my concentration goes and i make a mistake, it's hard to get back in the zone.
usally takes a few laps (full of more mistakes)  before i can regain some composure, if at all.

have been finding with the set from yourself the tyres start to over-heat by lap 5-6 and not having tested it on a long stint, i will be going into the hr race with fingers crossed that they'll last

anyhow gl to all that dare :norty:

Happy to finish that one .. usually not a prob but on a long race my gearing was a bit high and just after the pit stop engine damage started
Misfiring away I managed to hold on till the end .. I expected to see Earl, Spud and Vob buzzing me.

Almost wiped out ooOOOOooo in the first few laps. I thought the door had been fully close but he found a wee little gap. Gentle rubbing coming into the tyre corners much hooting of horn was done (glad u did i thought you were on the other side

Wow ! what a night.

think we had it all
finally quali'd on pole.. at the 3rd attemp (& 2nd server)   with a new pb!!

race started and managed to keep 1st into t1 with john taking a close examination of me exhaust pipe in the process
managed to hold him off for a few more corners but put a tyre on the grass out of the back chicane and lost places to him and romus.
had a good battle with romus for a few laps and finnally got past him and made it stick on lap 4.
tried to get me head down and catch jonny but he was showing some great pace and pulling out a nice lead.
1/3rd distance and i  started to settle down in a rythmn and the times started to come and i started to claw jonny back in

not sure what lap it was that we caught itchy up but it was down the main straight into t1, jonny was deffinatly held up,
but i did back off and allow the gap to re-establish itself before i attacked again (heard that the fia are cracking down on this sort of thing )

managed to get past jon a few laps later and pull out a bit of a gap, with him closing one lap and me pulling it out again the next.
just over half distance and jonny pitted and was left to hot lap 4 the 2nd half the race, made a new pb along the way and held on for the win :woot2:

good racing all !! was fun :D

What a night! Disco inferno. Finally got going thanks to the kindness of StableX, who let us use their server. Cheers Andy, who for his trouble suffered in an altercation of which I have no knowledge except that his dummy was handed in to the Clerk of the Course. I have forwarded it to him. :lmfao:
My race was a good one for the most part until the last knockings when I snatched n00bness from the jaws of mediocrity by spinning and letting my long time protagonist SmarmyMikeo take my place. Booooo!
The results are as follows for whomsoever marks them up.(Wha' 'appened Lameduck?)
1: Delankster
2: Seany
3: CrazyR1
4: Romus
5: Deetz
6: DeeSlider
7:John Rees (Top tip John, always have enough fuel to finish the race. Most helpful :norty: ) Oh, and we're redecorating the Ventrillo room as the shade of blue you chose didn't look right:lmfao:
8: o000o
9: Jas (still got that old magic!)
10: Vobler (And they said you were past it!)

Commiserations go to Slider46 who we discovered was the disco queen. An in depth investigation should be held on your trouble. Very odd

Hi All!!
Glad you got to get the race in..:D

It was disco fever at the DMR server :ranting2: but as allways I had to head out.

oh...either I'm an Idiot or I don't have permissions to see the replay:dribble:
would someone point me in the right direction...thanks :)

I am actually past it! But still, it was the best LFS race on this side of iRacing. I was racing for position the whole race. At first with Oldie, then with EarlHaz, Spudgun, and trying to catch up with Jas in the end.
Had only one big mistake. Felt good to even finish.

It really looked bad with the discos. Glad we found a workaround.
If that looks like a bug in LFS we should set up testing with Slider_46 and try to find something to report to Scawen.

After overcoming my small computer problem i really enjoyed the racing last night, i had no pratice on this combo due to work getting in the way this week, but i was really looking forward knowing i could get on for thursday at least, grabbed a set up from deetz (cheers)qualified 12th,  made a couple of mistakes one of which 2 laps from the end that let 2 cars through Volber / EarlHaz. but volbler was catching me so 10th was poss, still happy with 11th under the Circumstances, great night:D

Thanks Oldie for doing the points table.
I had numerous problems last night, duff mic, game going to desktop and freezing. Strange thing is that the only new software added has been KetKarPro!
That, plus having only having two hours sleep the night before, collecting my missus from Manchester Airport in the wee small hours, did not fulfil me with a sense of anticipation for a pleasant evening.
The conversations of a pair of geriatrics, one sleep starved and one jet-lagged had wrecked my head anyway, :wacko:so I decided to not bother restarting the comp and go to bed. Well done to all who took part:)
