Every last one of us was taught a lesson tonight by a guy named Hawku. He lapped everyone. I was lapped twice by the half hour mark and decided enough was enough. I can take just so much humiliation. Oldie, I feel for you.

Yup, he was totally untouchable. He lapped me just before the hairpin under the bridge, and I swear he was going 20 mph faster than me..! :lmfao:

I was incredibly lucky to get a new PB during quali, which gave me second position on the grid. Originally I had planned not to refuel during the race, but I decided to try to take advantage of my good starting position by filling my fuel tank only to 28%. My hope was that a lighter car would allow me to shake off some of the pursuers who might have decided to go with full fuel tanks from the beginning. My tactic seemed to work, and I was fortunate to get a small gap early on, which allowed me to focus on my own driving. I was worried that John Rees, Deetz and the others would catch up when I had to pit and refuel, but thankfully I was able to maintain the lead. (only just, though)

Plus, I managed not to speed in the pits! :D So no penalties for me this time. All in all luck + tactics were what did it for me tonight, I think.

I have to say that I'm impressed by how people behave when being overtaken! Very good sportsmanship indeed, all round. Thanks for a great race, guys! :)

Gnomie you were exceptional tonight, I was surprised to be honest it goes to show what a long race can throw at you I felt confident and I tried to catch you. Well done :)

I'll try and not let it happen again :narnar: No seriously great driving from everyone the blues were dealt with 99% which is awesome.

Well done all and thanks for having me this week.

I did a superb qualy (for me) and was placed well up on the grid. So I was at least half the field in front of my normal spot.
I lost a few places in T1 and settled down. A few guys came up and passed me. Others I could keep the distance to. Until my screen vent black. I had set my new computer to turn off the display after 20 minutes. This was down towards the sharp hairpin so I just braked and try not to hit anything but overshoot the turn. Then I had to get the screen working again, and turn my car around before I could start driving again. Lost much time there.

But all in all a good race for me, no big mistakes, just Clean Fair and Fun.
Great racing guys!
