As we lost access to RDP, forum, web, CSS, L4D, CoD and Insurgency any news on what the cause was? Would be good to let the community know what happened.

Sorry, was out all day yesterday and evening. only just seen this.

anyway, about 9:30pm my connection started to go a bit flakey, or at least I thought it was my connection. A few minutes later I lost all access to the outside world, but not the servers so the servers were fine and my connection was fine.

I got a text from OB saying he's lost access so I concluded that it was an external routing issue into Brightstar. I put a call in and shortly after all started to come back up as the issue was fixed.

I don't have the exact cause as I wasn't around yesterday much and had no chance to call them for a cause. Will try to find out more today.

Cheers Gandy. I'll make a post and say it was a network problem which has been resolved.

QuoteThere was a power blip that affected some our upstream providers causing routing to grind to a halt, but it oddly left some elements of our network accessible.
