wow ! had forgot what fun these can be :)
Should be interesting with no reverse and barriers all about !
might be worth considering having reset turned on for the hr race ....
Discuss ! :)

Should be a fun one! :D (as always) I'm just happy it isn't on Fern Bay.. I did an MRT race there recently with about 10 drivers, and just one other guy and I crossed the finish line.

I guess that in a 'real life' situation there would be marshals to point you in the right direction. The trouble is the marshals wouldn't repair your damage before sending you on your way, and therein lies my main objection :g:

would be nice if you could get free from the walls without repairing
But with the little time penalty thingy that we used before it
would help keep people racing and not turning off in droves when
(maybe not due to there own fault) they end up facing a wall with no reverse gear to save them :g:

So far, fingers crossed, I've only found one place that hitting the barriers is likely and that is the uphill out of the bus stop chicane. You can, however, let your car roll back enough to get going again. We'll keep our eye on the situation.

Here is the result of hours of agonising over the MRT reset question.

For the hour race I'm going to enable resetting with one proviso: That you'll be honour bound to retire after using TWO resets!(2 resets, on the next one you retire) I don't see a problem with that for dMr members but outlanders will need a bit of a lecturing session. :norty:

Scratchy

That seems very reasonable, I should get round the first lap at least :)

Sounds like a wise decision if you ask me. :)

I haven't had much time to practice this combo.. been very busy with uni stuff. :( I hope to be there on Thursday though.

:thumbsup2: will there be a time penalty for reseting ?

No. That wouldn't be feasible without someone speccing all the drivers.

I thought that last time we had a 30 second stop and go given in game each reset?

Not possible. There's a 30 sec penalty, 45 sec, stop and go and drive through but no way to implement any of them for a reset........That I know of. :)

This must be what I was remembering - we used it during the week but I can't remember if it was on or off during the long race.

(At least now I know I wasn't imagining it!)
