Well I just bought CoD4 for £18 at Game (gotta love staff discount), I will probably have to run it at low settings but that can't be helped.

Best suggestion I can give at first is to just stick to the first gun untill you unlock the scope for it.
Don't worry about the higher ranks, you'll get there anyway because loads of things give you points in the game. Have a look in the things you can get points for, there's some funny things. To me some things happend by accident and I got points for it (falling off certain heights give you points).
