MATCH-INFO:
2 minute rounds, MR9 (MR9 means that 9 rounds are played on each side, so first CT, then T or the other way around). The map for the group stage will be de_icewerk and for the finals, de_russka.
The maps will be available on fast download but please ensure you have them prior to the start of the tournament.

The server password for all matches and all servers will be dmwtourney

ALL players will play in a minimum of TWO matches and if your team gets as far as the final then you will be playing THREE matches, so please do not run off half way through!.

IRC-INFO:
    * Firstly, before the matches start, all players should join #deadmen on quakenet IRC. Please be on the channel at least 5 minutes before the first match. If you do not have an IRC client then try downloading mIRC as it is very easy to set up and use. This is how your squad leader will be keeping track of all players during the evening.
    * Then also join your team's private tournament IRC room:

    dmw1, dmw2, dmw3, dmw4

If your availability for the tournament changes, please let me know by PM ASAP! If your names not down yet then you can still be put down as a reserve, people always forget to turn up so please join IRC prior to 18:55.

For anyone that doesn't have an IRC client, I've just tested HydraIRC.  Once installed, set up your identity (the window opens the first time you run the program).
Then click "File-> New Server" and in the URI field type "IRC://irc.quakenet.org:6667/#deadmen"
the click OK.  If it comes up with a message like this:

[10:58] *** Connecting to "irc.quakenet.org:6667" (Attempt 1 of 110)
[10:58] *** Resolving host name
[10:58] *** Could not resolve host name
[10:58] *** Disconnected (2008-12-27 10:58:30)

Then type /server irc.quakenet.eu.org/#deadmen in the command box at the bottom of the window that message appears in.
Once working, make sure you add it to your Favourites and it will be easy to join next time.
"Favorites->Add to Favorites..."

Since there is only 4 teams, wouldnt it be worth extending the group phase by 1 more round? the way it is now team 1 and 4 might never fight eachother and the same goes for team 2 and 3.

Just a thought so don't shoot me (leave that for tonight )

I just didn't want it going on too late for our members on CET.  

Two points will be awarded for a win and one for a draw, the two teams with the highest score go through to the final.  If the scores are even then the most rounds won will be used.
