I ordered the Logitech's Z Cinema Surround Sound from Amazon which i recieved today, which effectively a 2.1, but I'm afraid to say it is back in it's box :(

Reason being is how incompatible it is with everything, for starters, it's USB, meaning that nice expensive sound card / software does not get used, It does have an auxiliary, but it needs to be 2 Channel to work and the digital port doesn't want to know.

For some reason my mic does not work when these speakers are plugged in (didn't look to deep into this issue tbh)

HD / Digital Surround sound only works if the application can support it, which is hardly any support (only cyberlink bluray and DVD) for surround sound.

Cables are way to short.

Known 'cracking issue' if you use the USB, this is becuase it uses the CPU, so when under strain, it can't maintain a smooth sound (not had this myself as i never got that far with it)

When you do have digital sound, it does sound pretty good,

Does sound good with music, although sound quality in game is pretty dire.

To me this is their attempt to leave creative completely out of the picture, but by doing this, they have limited there compatibility

If anyone else has these speakers, I would be interested in how well you got on with them and how you got them setup.

As a side note, I went into PCWorld and they were at £244 in which they would not budge on price (their online price is £177) I got these brand new from Amazon for £123 (and before you ask, i used the affiliate link :flirty:)
 Bring on the randomness!
Apparently I actually exist! Or maybe it was the drink?
