I just want to take this opportunity to extend my thanks to both Stuart and Ron for trying so hard to promote this sim and make it work. You've both done an excellent job, and it's no fault of yours that it's in the sorry state it is.

Let's hope everything sorts itself out eventually.. until then... :crying:

Well said, seconded.

What a bummer, it was shaping up so well after really close qualis, and I hadn't hit any Armco either!  :crying:

Quote from: Doorman;268985I was in your cockpit when that happened. :D

Hehe...I knew it wasn't my fault, your ghost distracted me lol.

Quote from: Doorman;268985I hear what you're saying but the I can't see the logic of it. The thing goes tits up before half way! I think the leader had 15 laps to go! We can try another format but I'm concerned now that the death knell of dMr nKP has sounded. (Yeah alright, a bit melodramatic. Sorry)

I only base that opinion (or guess) on how other servers run. GPC hasn't crashed once in 36ish races with similar numbers of drivers to DMR, and other servers run 24/7 with no obvious problems, so I picked out the unique feature of your series.

Don't blame you one bit for feeling downhearted though...I appreciate the efforts you've gone to and it's gotta sting to have races fall to bits like that through no fault of your own.

Quote from: richard_johnstone;268982Damn shame, I had just made the best pitstop ever (TM) by missing my box with the brakes locked, getting flustered and stalling it in reverse.

When i saw you in the pits just leaving a couple of seconds before me i thought you'd made a mistake :norty: you're lead was way bigger the lap before.

@gnomie You're absolutely right I just bought nKP two and a half months ago, i hate to give it up already but it's just to frustrating to continue....

@doorman i checked the replay and and it looks like you hit pete's car, maybe it was invisible like some other cars.

I'm trying to divide all my attention to just one sim... nKP was my first choice, but it has changed after tonight... luckily i have a month free subscription of another sim i still want ot try out... (what could that be )

Willing to give the next update another try whenever it's released... but not this again.... :sideways:

Sorry for being so negative. :crying:

For those of you who are too frustrated with nKP and too tired of LFS.. I don't want to advertise too much, but I just thought I should inform you that private leagues are coming to "that other sim". Maybe this could get interesting in the long run..? :g:

QuoteWe are deep into development on bringing private leagues to our service in a way that will hopefully maintain the integrity of the overall service.  I will focus a blog post on this topic further down the road when we are prepared to reveal more details on how this will work, but I think we are well on the way to adding an exciting new feature to our service.

I would like to understand how I could get rear ended in T1 starting last on the grid and arriving last at T1 :D

Apart from that it is a very frustrating situation. This sim has a serious potential, and makes driving in LFS single seaters feel incredibly bland. On the other hand it is so disappointing that it calls for eradication from my hard disk...

I'll wait for the next patch (I'm old enough to be patient, and spring is coming - sim racing can go back hiding for a few months) to make my final decision. No way I will send money for the current state though.

Thanks to all in here for your efforts and patience with this piece of bugs, even if you only turn in to sadistically listen to Ron's rants on ventrilo ;)

I can't argue with that.

Nor that

Now that I DO argue with! Me, rant? Help and assistance and the occasional expletive is all you get from me. :flirty:

Mille Sabords

I was not talking about myself, probably only one trying to learn how to make a pitstop 5 minutes before a 1 hour race
Thanks for your help there, and also for the (useless ) warnings to Deetz relative to the teleportation trap close to the last turn.

However I will stand up to my opinion: after a certain number of the aforementioned expletives (that was :taz: after these discos) am I allowed to call it rant?
Or maybe the definition of rant is a bit different *me picks up dictionnary*

to rave in violent, high-sounding, or extravagant language, without dignity of thought

OK my wrong. There was contained violence there, not so sure about the extravagancy of the language, but dignity of though was present for sure :D.
Sorry about my misuse of English language!

You're forgiven. Now cut along. :D

Mille Sabords

grr. Cut what? along where?

*copy paste into another dictionary*

cut along
intransitive verb
Definition:
U.K. hurry off: go somewhere promptly ( dated informal ) ( usually used as a command )

Ha:lightbulb:!. You meant :byebye:!
