New rules regarding OOBers

After a few games tonight, I realised that CSS is not as fun anymore, we do try to educate people, but some seems not to want to listen. And I got very annoyed. Old dmwers are getting annoyed, and frankly, I dont see why we cant find a middleway for us to all live happily. We got people rushing off, not wanting to heed our educations, and the only way to actually stop them is to kick or slay. But we're not allowed anymore.

I was wondering, could there be some middleway were we have to educate, but still give people repercussions for not following the rules? I understand why we are not, but we are dragging in some very bad apples, and I hate to see boomer become one of the fragfest servers.

Or is this subject absolutely not up for discussion?

If this is happening then my opinion is that we cannot sit back and watch idiots ruin what we have, ban them!

What kind of nonsense is that. Ofcourse you are allowed to slay, kick and ban them BUT the big difference from before is that you don't start by doing that. If you try to educate them and they don't comply then they don't belong here. The difference is that you put in an effort before using the axe ...

I read the removal of the mod to be because we're trying to bring people into the fold and the mod was treating them too clinically.

Now the mod is off, you, yes you SJ, are "the middle ground" and decide what action is needed to guide the poor deluded frag monkeys into line.

"We shouldn't slay for OOB" is the only change to the way we admin.  If people persistently ignore the admins and go frag hunting then we can remove them from the server.  The idea behind this is not to lose people who could enjoy the way we play at the first visit by being too harsh when they don't know the rules.  If we try and educate them and it's obvious they're not interrested then for the benefit of everyone else they should be removed in line with the admin guidelines (make sure they have a warning first).

Hopefully this thread will have clarified things.
