Is it possible to play a game I DL from steam, wihtout internet connection?
For example, my STALKER was bought through steam, but when the internet is down (it happens now and then here in the middle east :flirty: )I cannot play it and this pi$$es me off !! I paid for the game, why must it connect to steam first?

You can use steam in offline mode, File / Go Offline easy as that :)

You don't have to be online. Just make sure your details are save in steam and if your internet goes down it'll ask you "Retry" or "Continue in offline mode". Offline mode allows you to play any game you already have installed.

Worth using on a second computer etc as if they both log it it boots one off. I set my laptop to offline mode so I can still play bejewled etc (it's only a Aspire one so it's maximum is GTA3/Halflife 1  level stuff)
