Raid 25/02/09

Hai Guys and Girls

just a quick thanks from me and im sure a few others to Limpsy for the places in a 25 man OS run he managed to grab us as again there was not enough people to make a DMR raid.

Once again sadly we were sat there at 20:00 with 7 lvl 80s on line out of 15 that signed up for a 25 man run. Thanks for the heads up from a couple that said they couldnt make it merk etc.

Lets try not to make a habbit out of this because it puts a downer on the people that are there 15-30 mins early for every raid.


So i suggest we turn things around tonight lets get people on, on time and go have a real good tearing it up dubstep fueled session in Naxx. Mal knows what im talking about!

Unfortunatly due to a cock up at work I'm not going to be about tonight Kinda sucks as I'm all ready to rock and was really looking forward to it too!

Yeah its a bit varied but from what i understand we have:

Monday - Nothing
Tuesday - Naxx 25
Wednesday - OS 10 /25 or VOA 10/25 or Both ( Fun Run )
Thursday - Naxx 25
Friday - Naxx 10 ( Fun Run )
Saturday - Nothing
Sunday - Naxx 25

In honesty i dont expect loads of people on for the wed/fri runs as technically iirc they aren't officail raid nights.. Was more disappointed about tuesdays naxx cancellation really.

Well for me all I can commit to 100% is the thursday / sunday... The rest require nagotiation with the boss :g:or she needs to be out :roflmao:

sorry for not being able to raid for a couple nights  now but real life comes first for me as my daughter takes priority , as i understand though because of last nights raid didnt happen there was some complaining from u all about people not turning up which i know is a pain but once again the real life does exist but as for comments about raids startin late i know sometimes its the raid leaders fault but then ulot have to realise in order to start on time u need to be prepared aswell we shouldnt have to wait for u to go repair or go to the auction house for food and pots so if all that can be done before the raid start time we can get things moving quicker also there is a Flightpath at winterguard keep so u could all maybe use it so we dont spend 10 mins summoning u all other than that ill try and be about abit more .

Nah thats just my point and i think most will agree if you cant come then thats fine weve all got lives to live, but on the flip side if sign up to say you are coming be on, be ready and preferably be at naxx.

So far we've just had 2 unfortunate nights in a row, no need to start panicking over raids dropping out. Sure it's annoying but it's part of the phase we're in as a guild I think. Going from 10 to 25 requires 15 more active and willing players, and we've not recruited all of those yet. So to make sure disappointments like tuesday don't happen again I encourage everyone to keep their eyes out for new people. Check the recruitment requirements and when you see someone in a PuG performing quite well then try to prod them in our direction The sooner we get those 25 slots filled the better, because we can't keep relying on those 4 or 5 'friends of...' to fill the gaps every raidnight

I think the only annoying thing is that no one know who is raiding and who is not. There are usually 15 accepted, 15 as "invited" status and you have just wait and hope they would show up. It would help officers and all if people used the calendar, and rl is always first priority. I am a  good example of that I just can't attend on all the raids and when I can't I put my self as a "declined"

7.00 can be a bit too early for me so try not to sign up unless im deffo.

If get in from work early, then its a bonus.

One thing to note about the ingame calendar is that it doesn't have a 'maybe' option. I'm not sure if there's a comment option for everyone either (may be just raid managers, would have to check), and even if there is, it doesn't show unless you click on someone's name I think. Something like an icon indicating this person has accepted but with a comment would be cool.

But aye, what Lex says is true. Try to at least accept or decline if you can I have the feeling people forget to check their calendars too (again, Blizz didn't make the icon all that clear). I think invites go out to all lvl 80 mains so there's no reason for anyone not to be on the list
