Age of Conan had kind of a rough start. Sky high expectations, which for many didn't bring what was hoped for. A while back, a new man in charge was brought in: Craig Morrison. Supposedly they have done a major review of the game, with much focus on the feedback from the users. Many changes have been made, and they are now fishing for some new users (or regain some old lost ones): free 7-day trail to get folks started and get the feedback going.  I never tried AoC when it first came out. Had just started taking a break from WoW, and was a bit tired of the whole MMORPG thing. But I did find it fascinating, and have always felt that it would be cool to try it out - but not sure if I would spend money on it, as the reviews weren't all good. But now that they have a free trail out - not to mention that I get my brand new computer just after the weekend - it might be time to give it a try :)

Edit: I chose (shudder) FilePlanet and got 14 days. I just hope the download has completed before that...

I played it but it was just not that good, the harvesting.   Just wasn't fininshed.  Looks amazing but it just wasn't actualy finished at release hope they have got more in it now.

It's nice to have a torrent client running on my server (yes, there actually were an option to download via BitTorrent) :flirty: I added it yesterday before I went to bed, and today when I went to work it estimated about one hour left. Not the best speed, but I'll be there seeding for some time - so go for it!

Yeah, I also saw that a bit later when browsing around. I also read that the trial time doesn't start before the first time you log into the game, so you don't have to worry about that.
