having been brought up as a manchester united fan by an uncle who was man utd crazy. I had the lot, man utd bedspread, scarfs, posters, curtains etc... the lot

So as soon as i was old enough i made the very long trip up to see them when ever i could.
this stopped a few years ago after a tuesday night game against charlton, hit traffic on the m1 and didn't get to the ground untill ten minutes into the second half
Watched 35 minutes of footy then got back into the car and drove home..... not the best, 7hrs in the car for 35 mins of footy (feels bumps on head)

after that i started to go less and less and after a mix up with my memebership i haven't been in about 4 years, but still watch whenever its on the tele.

so there you have it, another southern manc supporter:flirty:

i have always supported them and always will :narnar:!!
It is better to stay quiet and act the fool, than to say something and remove all doubt

I've possibly got the weirdest link to my team that anyone has.

I was born on ... well sometime in November 1963 (don't want identity thiefs stealing me do I?).

Anyway, if you check http://theofficialcharts.com you will note that the song that was number one on my birth date was:

Gerry and the Pacemakers - You'll Never Walk Alone

:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

I've followed them since I was a kid (as I mentioned earlier in thread) and I always will.  Been to see them a couple of times and once was there to look around the ground, changing rooms etc and of course touched the "This is Anfield" sign on the way out to the pitch.

Simple for me.  I was allowed to stay up and watch the 77-78 European Cup final.  It made a huge impression on my 7 year old mind.

31 years of supporting Liverpool has taken it's toll:taz::lmfao:

I wish I'd appreciated the glory years more at the time, i never would have guessed it would take another 19 years to get close to challenging for the league again.

Still, there's no other club like it. I still get goosebumps whenever the Anfield crowd gets into full song.
Watching the 2005 Champions league final still makes me well up like a little girl:crying: :lmfao:   That was possibly the greatest sporting moment I've ever witnessed, and probably will.  If i'd have died the following day i would have died a very happy man.

Nice to see so many fellow reds here:byebye:

Apart from the win in instanbul which is my all time top Liverpool moment I have a very close second.
When Houllier won a total 5 tropheys in 2000 I happened to work with a woman who's husand was/is a camera man for ITV

The Guy, took me to an old army barracks in Liverpool where the players get off a normal coach and onto the open top bus!!

I  got to go on the bus before they got there got some great pics, after that I got to meet all the players and staff before they set off on the bus, Including Robbie Fowler and Micheal Owen!!

Then I went out into Liverpool to party with the rest of the fans, I'll see if I can scan some of the pics from the day.
I also got a UEFA Cup final Program, Press Pack and un ripped ticket :)

What a day

:D

Yes indeed. A terrible time for those there and especially of course to those who lost loved ones.  Despite what people say, days like those should never be forgotten.
