Thinking about putting dual spec on Fattie, and wondering what would be the best spec raid wise.  is there something we need that we havent got already?

Thinking either
0/40/31 - imp out, increased stam

0/56/15 - Demoinc pact, increased raid sp by 10% of mine ~ 200sp

any opinions?

I'm using the first with Desade, but i still have to improve my dps. Does anyone know the right rotation or can give me some tips?

basically 3 dots as often, conflag when available and when 35%, at max range try for immo, conflag, then inncin/soulfire rotation 1:1 if possible

I too have been pondering the use of 2 specs on the lock ... i dont pvp so its 2 different dps specs

I love affliction so thats a keeper ... and i went 40/31 just to try it

So for me i was thinking of a boss spec (afflic) and a trash spec aoe (still undecided)

im not sure if the demonic pact gets over taken by a shammy buff i need to look into it

Have you considered in using 2 points in improved soul leech? I know that mana regen is a bit useless for locks, but i think it may be very helpful for the overall raid dps.

I'm no Lock expert but I'd say drop 2 points from Demonic Aegis and chuck em in Imp Soul Leech, if you're destro anyway ^^
or Garrit, or Torgen. Also, Livestream.

That could affect the lock's dps a bit. I was thinking about moving the 2 points in improved healthstone to Imp Soul Leech, since usually there are at least 2 locks in the raid and we shouldn't rely on the green candy to survive.

Didn't know the armor increased dps ^^ I guess healthstone would be the least of losses then.

was thinking that, but when dill had it, made almost no difference, as as normally run with lots of replenhisers, thought reasonably safe to drop it

well, as long as there is someone with it... I just would like to avoid nasty situations like the one we had a couple of weeks ago in an Ulduar 10 run, where caster dps's weren't hit capped becouse there isn't a balance druid with improved fairie fire in the guild and we had no shaman in the raid. :)

Fatdog

after running it a few times last night, think have to agree with you Tirk, burned mana way too quickly, so looks like more replenishment for the raid :)  unfort it doesnt improve raid hit rating tho

Probably way too late reacting to this topic but I just want to add some things, first of all the healthstone talent. this makes your healthstone give you about 1k more health, if you get those 2 points in improved soul leech it gives the whole raid a mana boost (and ofc yourself which means less life tap --> more DPS) and because you are less life tapping less pressure on the healers and such....

I switched over to improved soul leech when I noticed the tier 10 gear didnt had a lot of spirit on them (in the days life tap gave you mana according to your spirit). This argument isnt valid anymore since the last patch but I am still glad I did it, the tier 10 doesnt contain any spirit which makes the SP buff from life tap very small.

For imp soul leech I would recommend get it when you are starting to do some serious raiding: if you arent hit capped get suppression,if you run heroics you dont go oom anyway because the fights are over before I can say "FPS".

soooo that was the life tap - healthstones - imp soul leech. Now I noticed something else in the talent tree (yes I know I QQ about every talent point). You got 2/2 in fel synergy (pet healing) and just 2/3 in Demonic embrace (stamina). I have got 3/3 stamina and 1/2 pet healing and my imp NEVER dies (in destruction at demo I would recommend going 2/2). when does the imp take damage? mostly from fire, aoe and such, and for some reason imps have the armor of the lich king himself because they get 10 times less damage as me from it.... (imp = OP tank?) this is just a minor thing but just watch your imp's taken damage when you are doing a raid and consider it.

And just one thing to watch for, you only got one point in threat reduction (same as me :p) but tanks (thinking of gond and lee) or something QQ'ing about it... and I know those just cant keep aggro anyway but having just one point in it requires a bit more attention to Mr. Omen,

Thanks for reading!

Trickboxx,

and btw, if you think otherwise or just want to burn me to the ground please go ahead I aint perfect and willing to learn B)
