Does it really? i've had mix views on it with people liking it and others hating it... what would you change?

Well almost every book, magazine and newspaper ever written is black text on a white background. The further away from each other in tonal value that the text and background are, the easier they are to read. Red text on a black background looks great but isn't easy on the eye. Blogs are obviously for reading and the easier you make your blog to read the more people will err well read it.

Black on white may not look sexy but it works. Failing that go for a dark text on a light background.

Black on white (full screen at least) = pain.

Black on white-ish color = nice Aim for something pastel-like, like the blue-ish of this website for instance.

Ok, so updated the colours a lil bit and added in a banner, tell me whatcha think

yeah, that looks a lot better. Nice neutral background makes the text stand out and is easy on the eye May want to change the links from red however, that clashes really bad!
