Once the video starts you can click on skip intro and then use the "Volvo the Game" link to get to the game and download it.

It's free!

It is the same arrangement as BMW did a few years back, also linked here. Looks a bit better tho, perhaps revised. And for those of you that shudder by the sound of it... yes, it is a Simbin game.

I tried this and the game, considering it is free, is a good deal. It works fine, you can race online etc.

OK, so tried out the Volvo Racing Game and had a fun hour or so ......... easy to install and get running with my wheel etc. although I couldn't get the steering wheel to not show on the screen while driving. btw, my first new car I ever bought was a 1974 Volvo 144 pumpkin orange it was).

But about an hour was all it was good for ....... like most "arcade style" games , it was sooooo user friendly that the driving experience gets lost.  You can just throw the car around wantonly, no subtlety to the steering and braking.  Lots of fun if you just want to jump into something without any need for finesse.  The hairpins were so blooming easy .... couldn't find anyway to mess them up, and that was with no assists.  Only thing it's missing is some big air jumps over billboards or moving trains.

Not bad "for free"  - at least I didn't have to venture out to the arcade and keep putting quarters in the machine.

No LFS fanboy here :eyebrow:
