The 1.13 P3,is it tualatin core?Some boards require a flash to get them to work.Just a thought.

Can't remember but already running latest BIOS. So could be duff chip or could be that motherboard can't cope with it. Anyone want a P3 1.13GHz  which may, or may not, work?

Just found this showing P4, P3 Tualatin and P3 Coppermine. My P3 is the middle one so yes it is a Tualatin core (the chip it was going to replace was a coppermine core).

Yeah,some boards can not run tualatin cores period,give me the board details BB and I will investigate.

If you are serious I will have chip,will come across aboard eventually.

Tyan Trinity 400.

I do have a Plan B though.  My daughters PC is going to be upgraded from P3 1GHz (Slot1) to a P4 2.53GHz. The Trinity Motherboard can take a Slot1 processor so I'll just drop it in there once I upgrade hers. Won't be as much of an upgrade as I'll be going from a 833MHz/133FSB to a 1GHz/100FSB but it is a step in the right direction.

I bought the Tualatin core for the server and it has never been run other than trying to get it working in the Tyan board this weekend. If you wnat it I'll send it to you and if you can get it working then make me an offer (£10/£20 pound) as I paid £90 for it and would like to try to recoup some of that but as I say I cannot guarantee it works because I haven't been able to prove it.

Barton 2500 2x 256ddr ram
XP 1800 2x 256 ddr ram
AMD 64 FX55 @ 2.9 with 2 gigs ram
P4 3.2 @ 3.4 with 2 gigs of ram
P4 @ 2.0 with  512ddr,  (Running 24/7)
AMD 64 3000 @ 1 gig of ram     (last one isnt built yet but is in the ordering stage)

Ill go pimping friends computers ;-)
