For any of you you that might have missed it on the LFS.net/racing videos thread, have a look at this:

Serious balls to the wall stuff there  :D

How cool is that? 130mph in a 250 pro kart in at least two places, and with those bumps:woot2:

Not the time for a "ah, that was the chicane not the fast right" kind of moment:sad: (im prone to that so maybe i'll give it a miss)

This years TT is on now if you didn't know and Channel 4 covers it for those in the UK. You will be amazed by some of the onboard footage i promise. 37 road miles at an average of just over 130mph??? You couldnt do that on a motorway.
If you look closely in the pits, you can see all the little pots which is where they leave thier brains for 6 laps:D

That is plain awesome

In comments one mentions up to 170Mph for the "dual" (?) 250s?

I then came across this motorcycle clip... 0-200 km/h (120mph) in about 9 secs

Yeah dual have two engines - not 2 cylinder engine, but two separate one cylinder engine. Don't know how they propel the art exactly, maybe each engine to it's wheel :) No need for diff, which karts don't have in the first place..
Once i was speaking with guy who was driving the Croatia Skoda Octavia Cup, every season they had race on Brno, he said the same weekend they were driving superkarts were there, mentioned they go up to 250 km/h.... Mad stuff!!

Motorcycle accel isn't weird, after all most modern bikes have 1:1 power to weight ratio :)
I once had a chance to be driven on fast bike, with fantastic sound - two cylinder Aprillia Tuono, the ride was something sooo thrilling i'll never forget it... Right now my pulse has increased only of thinking of it :woot2:

The ol' Honda CBR1100XX Super Blackbird.
Large fun but obviously thirsty at speed. Check out the fuel gauge. Around 65% at the start but 25km later there is under 25% left. It was sold as a 'sports tourer' but what would you see of the countryside at that speed and with that MPG, just how far could you tour?:roflmao:

I tried one but found it too heavy in the corners. Allthough after changing down to overtake, it did spin the rear up at 130mph so its still on the good toys list.:D
