Quote from: lionheart;279734I am seriously considering one of those trackIR 5 systems with this game.

I have the TrackIR 3 with the pro vector expansion, making it the same basic functionality as the TrackIR 4 and 5. Resolution (i.e. precision on the extreme detail) is the main difference. I am not certain, but almost, that TrackIR 3 (or 4) will do the job more than adequately and they go for so much less used. I got it used via the help of Blunt some years ago. I might get the TrackClip addon for more precise navigation, but TrackIR 5 is just outrageous. It is brand new to the market and the price shows.

Thats no on steam though :(

Which means you'll need an ISO. Kinda fancy this on steam.

Anyone Played it yet? how good is it?

BrotherTobious

No it not on steam, but you can still run it through Steam to get the friends bit.

I have enjoyed it so far but need to give more time to it.

I'm tempted to buy it but I'm reading lots of bad press on the forums regarding the poor fps people are getting - Magnus included (who has a monster spec pc). Many people on forums are saying its a good game marred by poor graphics and bugs.

Any truth in these rumours - has the latest patch helped or should I wait fo OFP2?

BrotherTobious

My FPS is stable and good.  Not many bugs I have found, just the interface takes a bit of getting used to.

I'm with Toby. Runs fine on mine. The only bugbear at the moment is the AI of your team mates when you need a medic, can be a bit 50/50. But for me it's looking like online co-op server to get the best out if it.

lionheart

Agreed with all above. Massive learning curve and will need some investment of time to get the best from it but the potential is huge.

Not had any graphics issues, not able to crank it all up , but using the recommended settings it looks real pretty and am getting 40-60 fps on a ATI 4870 1Gb.
I have read that ATI cards seem to behave better on this and also quad cores are at an advantage.
