After tonight raid, I want to let you know how I feel about it, and of course I'll accept any decision the officers will take about it, but again: I'd really like if you'll consider my point of view.
I'm not against gearing up people who has very recently dinged 80 and has no time/will to do the usual steps we all have taken, in fact i've attended every single naxx 25 I could, even if i don't need anything from that instance (escept for the trinket from sapphiron, but the few times we got there i was unlucky). Even in Ulduar, i can understand if the officers will decide to bring freshly dinged 80 and gear them up directly with the best gear from bosses we kill easily.
However, I strongly feel that Ulduar 25 progress raids are NOT the kind of raid we can allow to use to gear up undergeared people. I'm sorry, but i don't think we're that good, yet.
I don't ask you to share my feelings on people who wants to attend raids like ulduar25 with gear i wouldn't have used even to raid in an heroic, but again, this will be very frustrating for people who are putting the maximum effort to make the guild progress and gain visibility to get more recruits.

Just my 2 cents.

Well as I dinged 80 not so long ago I can see where you are coming from on this one with regards to progressing through Ulduar with less wipes and gearing up.

However, everyone has to start somewhere! If I hadn't of been invited to the raids I wouldn't have half the gear I have now and would be of even less use in Ulduar.

Now my gear is pretty decent to be able to do Ulduar with the rest of the guild, I just need to use my foods more wisely and learn my tactics for raids. :boxing:

a night as tonight you cant really blame the officers for bringing whatever they can, as we didnt have more online then what we brought..
somewhat sadly yes that contained a lot of new so we didnt have neither right amount of experienced people nor the gear lvl to do anything..

So maybe its not the right thing to blame the officers to bring what they can, but instead ask the question why certain honored members have their spot as they rarely show up?

Don't worry it is something we are looking into and will have a resolution to. We are at the point where we do have enough members for the 25 man ulduar runs BUT not everyone is geared up enough for it.

We will throw a few ideas around and will let you all know the outcome soon.

With regards to raiding members that rarely show, that will also be addressed.

I wasn't on tonight as I went out for dinner with my old man who goes back to Saudi on thursday. So sorry :(

other than that I'm on shift and will only be able to raid for 3 weeks of the month uninterupted.

Dunno why I'm defending myself really :D

I will turn up if I put available on calendar, if a GL would like to give me their mobile number in pm then I would be able to let you know if I'm going to be late or unavailable for raid when I'm afk

I never meant people who recently dinged 80 should be left behind, on the contrary. If that's what you've think i meant with my post, i apologize for the misunderstanding. If the officers will see fit to gear people directly in ulduar 25, i don't have any problem with it, as long as we'll do bosses we have on farm (or, if you prefere other words, fights we can handle pretty well if the number of newcomers is not overwhelming), or some runs in naxx25. Tonight we weren't even able to kill Thaddius in naxx25, one of those fights in which one member can screw the whole raid, and in ulduar it will be even worse (see ignis, thorim, freya, mimiron, vezax and yogg-saron). Now i'll be more than happy to help people gear up faster, but that does not mean that those people should just rely on being carried on in major raids. If there is a trinket from hemblems of heroism you can use and it's an upgrade, you can do a couple of heroics for them, and i'm sure plenty of fellow guildies will be happy to come along if asked.
I can grant you i speak basing on personal experiences becouse i've an alt or 2, and, just to make an example, Desade's gear is acceptable, if not decent, and i never raided with that toon.

Sheepy appears and begins to stroke my head. According to his slurred drunken speech I am "lovely and like a fuzzy felt". Thankfully he soon leaves and passes out somewhere. [/quote]
