If you have ever thought about overclocking but not known how to then have a read of this article here.  It is a good basic guide to unlocking the XP range.

It tells you how to physically unlock any XP CPU, but also points out that nForce2 motherboard owners will not have to make any physical changes to their CPUs as the motherboard unlocks the CPU for you!  MSI owners please go stand in the corner ;)  (Owners of an XP2100 should read the special article that is here).

As importantly it also comments on the new line of Athlon packaging for the CPUs which (at the time of writing) defeats the current physical unlocking procedures.

So if you do not have an nForce2 motherboard, but wanted to try overclocking then you need to get out there and do it now!  If you are going to overclock your current CPU then just buy an unlocking kit.  If you want a new CPU to play with then go get it NOW from somewhere like www.cpucity.co.uk before the stocks are replenished by the new translucent-look XP CPUs.
