What, you're level 33 and only 1 profession?

My advice would be to level your professions + cooking + fishing as you go along else you will be playing catch up like I am doing at the moment. Plus learning these will help you to make gold to buy better armor from the AH if you're not picking them up questing!

best way is to take 2 gathering professions (mining or herbing with skinning) get everything you find and sell, givesd u loads of money to buy goodies with!  normally cheaper to do this way rather than making stuff atm, you leel too quickly for that

If I was choosing again I would get the professions that go together like herbs and alchemy, skinning and leatherwork, mining and weaponsmith/jewelcrafter. Better gold in the longrun with these imo.

But as FD says skinning and herbalism are the easiest and will always make you gold in AH. Plus you can always do the others on your next toon and send the skins/herbs in the post to your levelling toon

The best armour will come through questing most of the time

You are lvling so quick that any time / cash you spend will be wasted effort..Keep an eye on the AH for any bargins sure but if you follow the quest lines they wil lead you to kit for your lvl. All the toons i have made get nothing but quest items untill they max lvl
