COD5 WAW Ladder

ZeroCool from the 141st (Creepy) sent me a PM asking me whether or not dMw, or people from dMw would be interested in entering a friendly ladder in COD5 (Call Of Duty - World At War), on their server

Seeing there is a few dMwer's playing on their server, would it cause any problems, conflict of Interest etc? Could it be dMw represented or maybe just as Individuals? My Initial thought was that it sounds like a good idea, and then again it might cause problems as it is arguably pulling dMw members from our server to someone elses server :g:

Maybe we could hold something similar with COD4, either as one off friendlies or a ladder against other clans (might be a good way to get people on the servers and who know, some might stick around?)

So just asking for feedback, something we want to avoid or?

I like your optimism. but as we couldn't field a ED team from the 48+ COD4 players and our same players couldn't make one night a month for the internal ladder, I can see it just being embarrassing if we try and field a COD5 team from the dozen or so players we have.

But if you get a guaranteed team, there would be no objection from me as long as the matches were not on Sunday or Monday. But I would be ****ed if after a couple of matches we can only get to players for a match.:sideways:

As Arm said, depending on the players we have.
I might be interested depending on days aswell.

But I still have to say, we still get more and more people on CoD4.
CoD5 seems to be a bit off...

Interested though.

I like playing on the 141 server because its crouch only which I really enjoy, so again, depending on the night Id be up for some.

I agree with what you say, and it did cross my mind, but as this is a friendly, non modded (no openwarfare or fancy commands etc) ladder, with no fixed dates set, I'm hoping this will not be such an issue as it was with ED (which was a big problem), although I am not yet sure how many times we need to play within a certain time-frame.

They have also allowed me to post our COD4 server details on their forum as they don't think there is a conflict of interest there and they say they will be joining our cod4 server soon to

On a separate note, with regards to ladders and matches, what do you reckon to the "occasional" Internal match, maybe create a team here first and make an open challenge? something small and short like 4 vs 4, best out of 3, with no mods or anything, and If no one answers to our challenge, at least we offered the opportunity (just another passing thought)

It seems to work for the L4D guys, I'll have a think about a format. Do we have enough admins to make a team? and what day would be good for you guys?
