New server released: move?

A new english server, Kahrun, has been released. While this may lessen the load on other servers over time, it seems that a more immediate solution to the queueing problem would be to move to the new server. Note that there are no character transfers in place yet, thoguh this is being implemented "within a couple of months" so it would mean starting afresh.

I know many of us have progressed well with our current characters, but if I get home from work every day and can't even get into a queue, well I would rather start over if it means I can actually play.

Of course it remains to be seen whether this new server will be quickly flooded too.

Thoughts?

being honest, no.....

most people will have the same idea as us, which will then bring queue's onto the other servers, then it will just have the same effect as it is now which will just have made it a big waste of time

Makes perfect sense but I think it remains to be seen whether that will be the case...

I can see where you are coming from b00n, but I reckon we should stick it out on Telemachus. I'm sure things will calm down in time. :thumb:

I think Jim is right... a whole bunch of people will be migrating to the new server and it wouldnt surprise me if it fills up right away.

Let's see how things work out this week....if it's really necessary we could allways move at a later time?!

I am one of the first people to complain but i do not think this is the solution by moving servers. With this amount of people it will be the same for now. I think its best to wait a month (yes it is long i know) and then see how many are still playing because i think it might be a lot better then.

1 month is 13 euros waisted.

I'd demand refund (or an extra month) if it takes them that long to settle it.

Quick update - even though a considerable number of people are on Kahrun (population is high), there are still no queues. If this is still the case I can't see a huge number of people moving over and flooding the server now. I still think moving is an option worth considering.

I think given the player levels at this point and the time invested I do not see that happening. The vote seems to also conclude this would not be worthwhile to restart everything. Had free character transfers been made available then perhaps it might have been different.

From what I've heard from DarkAngel they'll be sorting some stuff this weekend. Hope it'll work.
They can't sell a game where you have to wait inline to get on and which has to less channels in some areas though.

I'll see how it goes.

Personally i don't want to start all again, although i would be happy to have a free transfer, but i think ill make my mind up by next weekend to if i want to continue playing the game.

Free swap will be available soon.
But should we do that, I reckon we await what happends with the server we're on if alot of people move, we shouldn't have a problem.:flirty:
