Dedicated servers must be ranked, and therefore can only be run by 'approved partners'. Bummer

Same as BF2. Not that big a deal in my opinion. It just means the server has to be rented from an approved vendor to allow ranking.

We had a BF2 server many moons ago, does this mean they are already approved? (unless they were rented from somewhere else of course) :g:

From memory the price is normally around Ã,Â£1 a slot for newer games. So it could be around Ã,Â£30 a month. When you start to get several servers it becomes easier to just rent a dedicated box form them so you have a whole box to yourself. That starts to become expensive though. A decent box is around Ã,Â£100+ a month. What ever happens it pays to pay well getting cheap servers is nightmare for both performance and backup.

Might make the price more competitive. I don't think new games justify a Ã,Â£35 price-tag at launch very often. Especially when the multiplayer (95%+ of the times I'll spend playing) is an unknown element.
If the pack gets made and manages Ã,Â£20-25per head price tag I'll be pre-ordering for sure.

I'm just glad it's on steam though otherwise I wouldn't be buying it.

PC beta is due to start today. So hopefully will have some tit bits later on what it is like. I dont think I have been this excited about a game in years. Starts to pray "please let this game be good I am getting bloody desprate" :woot2:
