Kahlua and Milk instead of Baileys imo. Much tastier, much healthier and lasts a lot longer :flirty:

If the whisky's for mixing then it really doesn't matter too much. I tend to use to use a generic blend as you ain't gonna taste it if mixed. If it's a malt then yes Islay is ok and Glemorangie is peppery but rather nice.

Went to a voddy party on saturday which was interesting as I don't really drink the stuff. But out of the 14 or so we had, Tyrrells was the nicest (but I think it's quite expensive), 2nd and 3rd favourite was Bison Grass (Zubrowka) then Skyy and both under Ã,£18 per bottle I think.

Sounds like fun .... I'll await the invite :flirty:

Quote from: Tutonic;298519Sailor Jerry rum is nice if you fancy a change.

Spiced rum, with a slightly vanilla flavour. Goes well with coke, but especially nice with ginger beer :)

I was about to recommend this, girlfriend loves it. Tastes great with almost any mixer. Personally I prefer dark rum as spiced rum is for girls, and white rum is for cleaning old tiles.  Although, slightly girly, dark rum and orange is a fantastic drink that everyone should try at least once, not least because it makes bartenders everywhere give you funny looks.

Vodka:  I'm no connoisseur, so I just use price as the best measure of a decent bottle - seems to work well for most spirits, but especially so for vodka.  Even without going very high in price, you should notice a big difference between say, Smirnoff blue label and the regular red label (which is only good for mixing till you can't taste it).

On the subject of vodka...
QuoteKahlua and Milk...
...isn't a White Russian without it! :flirty: Add vodka in equal amount to the kahlua, and about 4 parts milk.  At christmas I sometimes change the milk for a part less of cream, to make it less healthy.  With the vodka it tastes almost like chocolate.

Vodka must be drunk fresh out of the freezer and straight, no mixers. Obviously it has to be a reasonable one.

Spiced Rum, again straight, is a lovely winter warmer when you come in from the cold.

Calvados, a nice after dinner drink instead of Cognac or Brandy.
I do exactly what the little voices tell me to.

PC Specs:- Black box with some fans that go whirrr, a few lights, things inside that get warm, headphones, keyboard (a clicky one), mouse (with buttons and no squeak), disks (2-off SSD and HDD) and a monitor of sufficient proportions.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm I'm liking some of these!  I got me some Baileys and now looking for something stronger.  I'll probably buy a single malt Whiskey next.

But not sure how easy it would be to get hold of over there...

Haha, yeah that stuff is good. But it doesn't seem to catch on too well with the non-Scandinavians. :lmfao:
