New Ele Build

Atm i am looking at trying a new ele build atm i have the standard cookie cutter spec, but with the new changes i am looking to make are here

i have taken 3 points out of Elemental Precision and placed 2 into Improved Fire Nova Totem, as this is changing in the next patch and i am getting a new spell with a 6 sec CD to replace it:yahoo::yahoo:

*forgot to put, by doing this i am going to be creating 30% more threat as i am taking the points away, will this be a problem for the tanks, i mean i use Wind Shear everytime i can in my rotation, so that should help to reduce it by a little bit.

i have also added a talent point in to Enhancing Totems, to improve my Strength of earth totem. i can afford to take the points out as i have 15% hit from gear and 1% from racial. also i want to bring up a addon that i have been using the last few raids its called TotemGuru, its shows all the totems that are dropped by me and any other shammys in the raid. if a totem symbol on it is faded it means you are out of range of the totem and not reciving its buff. but the main advantage of this addon for me is that i can see what totems are being dropped by other people and can mix and match totems, so that all possible buffs are taken care of. addon can be found.

if you use that shear wind, your effectively reducing your cycle dmg.
As for the hit, I think the 16% total is indeed enough.

I know I haven't been on WoW for a while, but the months before I quit, I never had any mana problems in my cycle. So the 5 points in convenction are open for discussion

I'd go for
(as far as I'm concerned you can swap out the 3 points of improved shield with enhanced totems)

For max raid dps think about the buffs you normally get too.  In a 25 man you should also normally have 3% hit debuff on the boss, so max hit needed is 13% before talents which means some more space for dps gear instead of hit gear.

Wind Shear is off GCD so it can essentially be woven in a primary nuke. No cycle damage lost and less threat Disadvantage: can't guarantee a handy interrupt to be ready when needed. Then again I can't imagine you'd need it for threat reduction that much..?

Personally I have a button that does:

- Stop current cast
- Cast Wind Shear
- Cast something dmg-ish to minimize dps loss. In my case Chain Lightning as it's not in my primary rotation. This one starts right after the Wind Shear as it doesn't trigger GCD

And I use this whenever an interrupt is needed.
