Its never sensible to have a wife who can stand up to you in a physical situation!!!! You should be able to give her a good slapping without fear of reprisals!!!  :P  :D  :D

Of course Keneau Reeves doesn't have the acting skills to turn into anything but a dopey Californian beach bum. So I'm not sure if he's going to be able to develop and strengthen the character into the last film ?

I agree ( ) Smilo - like i said previously in the thread it is one of the worst pieces of casting ever, to rival such bloopers as that speccy git in the Harry Potter films, Val Kilmer as Batman, George Lazenby as Bond (I know you like him in the role Sadako, but I stand by my words   :) ), or Sly Stallone in anything post Rocky II

As I said, it should have been someone like Christian Bale or Guy Pearce.  Hell I'd have preferred Ted  in the role to having Bill    8)
If I wanted you to understand I would have explained it better

[Off Topic]Actually I don't like Lazenby as Bond but I think that it was one of the strongest stories among the Bond-movies that have been made. I prefer Roger Moore as Bond and I know everyone has his/her favourite. [/Off Topic]

So that would be Nighthawks, Rambo First Blood, Cliffhanger, Demolition Man, Daylight, Antz and most wrong of all ... Copland    Some people (not me) though Assassins wasn't bad either.

Mr Reeves confused state/lack of acting ability (delete as you think best) worked well in Matrix as he was playing a person in a confused state. It still works in the second film as he has no clue as to what he's supposed to do now that he is The One. I'll wait and see what happens in the third.......oh Time Commanders is on

Well, based on the recommendations in here I bought Pitch Black on DVD today (£5.99 from WH Smith).

Watched it tonight and I thought it was excellent. Sure, maybe it is a bit "Alien" but to be honest that should be viewed as a compliment.

I would like to add that I thought Radha Mitchell was well hot!

And I would suggest that all the films I mentioned above were in no way casting bloopers for Stallone. As they were mostly written for him (Demolition Man, Cliffhanger & Daylight) he was perfectly cast. Antz played directly to his slow ponderous style and was a piece of inspired voice casting (as was Woody Allen).

There was nothing much wrong with his casting in Nighthawks which was actually a pretty good film.

In fact apart from his risable comedies (Oscar, Stop or My Mom will Shoot) most of his roles have been sensible moves, even if some of the films have been rubbish and his acting poor.

And if he was suitable for Rocky 2 why was he not suitable for Rocky 3, 4 and 5.
Stallone is actually quite an accomplished actor, he just chased the money, as would many of us I suspect.
