Whisky is worse than Vodka.  Maybe we're drinking the wrong thing? :P

"The reason why whisky might cause more unpleasant hangovers might lie in the number of molecules called "congeners" which it contains compared to vodka", said Professor Rohsenow.

Its also the reason whisky tastes better, said Professor Lameduck.

Clearly only a total arse would drink LAN whiskey in vast quanities and get wasted on it. We of the Deadmen Community enjoy our refined sippin' whiskey and as connoisseurs of the finest blends take all things in moderation

Aye, you're a better man than me. I confess that I tend to buy more speciality whiskies from there and should have posted it.

They have some nice whiskies on there.

I wonder how long it'd take SWMBO to divorce me if I bought a bottle of this?

Answer - not very long....

I write down everything I want to remember. That way, instead of spending a lot of time trying to remember what it is I wrote down, I spend the time looking for the paper I wrote it down on.

It really depends of the whisky.  I have had some very good 10 YO and some bad 25+.  However a rule of thumb is that the older ones tend to be more complex with a stronger more intense flavour.  I have had 'a few' Ã,£100 bottles and have tasted a few Ã,£1000+ whiskies.  Apart from the 50 yo Macallan which was stunning!!!! I cannot say the difference between the Ã,£100 - Ã,£300 range was worth it.  I am not saying they are not better but for my pallet and pocket it would not be worth it.  One of my favourite expensive bottles is the glenfarclas 40 - 42 yo.  Very nice.:D The taste of Macallan was Ã,£105 a nip!! :yahoo: I did not pay for it. :norty:

I'd go with vodka, I mean I practically live on the stuff and I'm as fit as the butcher's dog! :-)

You smell like a butchers dog. :naughty:

Had the first vodka I've had in years last night. Feel like a shot putters armpit.
