I have been negotiating with a developer of an app I would like. My problem is that I still have no access to paid apps in market, like many other countries. Just now, I received an email from the developer, informing me that his payable apps are now live in Denmark. I have googled frantically, but can't find anything. Phone itself doesnt allow me access to anything but free apps. Anyone who knows something else?

Update: apparently the developer now could "tick" the boxes for additional countries when releasing, including Denmark and Poland, in which the latter instantly started purchasing. I have tried rebooting the phone, but nooo...

I have been quite frustrated about this myself, but I'm sad to say I can't give you much help.

One thing I saw the other day which gave me at least a tiny bit of hope that we might see some change in this in a not too distant future, was that one of the Norwegian technology news sites had a small article about this: http://www.digi.no/831082/faar-ikke-kjope-android-apps-i-norge

The article isn't really enlightening, but at least there is a "public" focus on it. You could also take a look in the discussion at the end of the article: http://www.digi.no/php/ny_debatt.php?id=831082#debattfelt

As usual in such places, there is the regular overweight of flame-like unintelligent comments, but there is a few that at least brings a bit of useful information. This one below for instance has a good idea that the main cause is that no Norwegian (or any Nordic for that matter) phone company is a member of the Open Handset Alliance, which could make a bit of sense: http://www.digi.no/php/ny_debatt.php?id=831082#innlegg_607367

Cheers for the links. It doesn't bode well. I can see now why illegal Android software, even for programs that costs as little as less than a quid, are surfacing. Too bad, the developers will only support Android Market and not Mobentoo and all the overs - despite the fact, that Mobentoo is installed INSTEAD of Android Market in several countries
