Fao Blunt - CS:S Admins

Hi Pete,

I've been tidying up and looking at the list of CS game admins:

think it's really out of date. I, for one, haven't played CS for a long time (I really only play CoD4 now) and should be removed as a game admin and I can see that several others too are probably out of date.

This is the list that I have atm:
Penfold; Whitey; Dr Sadako; Squonk; Benny; Snokio; Kregoron; Sn00ks; Soon Jung

CS Public Server Admins:
Le Rouge; Lee; Othbarty; Sithvid; T-Bag; no peanuts

The names in bold haven't been on in ages (not that any of us have much).

Back in July I did an admin review and asked if anyone wished to be removed from the roster; I kept all the ones that replied. TL and OB requested relief of duty a while ago. I updated the admin list in the CS:S section, but not the main 1 you linked (apologies)

Ideally, what Iââ,¬â,,¢d like is to be left with the *ability* to admin without needing to be listed as an admin. My reasoning is:
There's mileage in being *able* to admin the servers even if not publically listed as such. Perhaps it's just me, but people keep asking me for server requests / kick requests etc if no other admin is around.... (probably as I'm quite a public face to dMw I guess due to my forum and lan roles). I think senior admins should have the ability to action if and when needed.

I agreed with you and left some others as admins for the same reason (even though they seldom play), seems I forgot to remove your name from the list.
For the same reason, I was thinking that it is important to keep Whitey as an admin because of his 1337 admin skills, but he may be able to do those server tricks without actually being on the roster(?)

I am in the process of handing in my responsibilities in dMw -  Pen and I are currently sorting it out.

With respect to the mentioned CS-tasks, I think replacing me is best I would like to keep my CS-rights though, if possible though as I often play off-hours and thus alone.

I didn't see any probs with that arrangement as Del is mature and sensible.
I don't want to go down that route with any more though or we'll have more "ghost admins" than official ones.

So, the next move is either PM's asking if they're still interested, or, more likely, PM's informing them that admin rights are being withdrawn.

Personally i'd remove everyone who hasn't been on in ages as an admin and promote those who are trying to keep it alive.

That would mean dropping Penfold; Dr Sadako; Squonk; Benny; Lee; Sithvid;

I'll officially resign in the admin forum and change me to a green badge and that may start the conversation rolling .

Then, once it's sorted we can update the master list.
