MH - Serious Lag

Am I the only one suffering this.
The past 3 times I've been on I've had lag peeking at 1400 in worst case, its so bad if I key through the buy menu I end up with the wrong gear, letters missing when I type chat.

I was on MH this morning - no one else on with a latency of 400.

I know ppl were suffering middle last week but is it consistant for others still ?

I'm using a measley 64kb ISDN connection with whatever std connection settings come with steam.

your not still dloading other halflife mods tfc dod ect ?

crank up steam and have a look at the monitor button,, see if thats busy

Exactly the same problem here. I usually get the spikes in game. I don't appear to lag but everyone elses just seems to teleport forward a dozen yards. It also means I get shot before I even see who's shooting at me.

So no change there then. CS is more or less unplayable though

I think TL had probs like that the other night best talking to him he might have a pointer.

I have had this for a while - pingplotter showed the lag spikes throughout almost all of my connection hops. The server I was trying to join was unplayable is it settled at around a 2500 ping, with a 10 second delay for typed messages to come up on screen. We moved to another server and the problem disappeared

I still get occassional lag spikes in 1.6 (as described above) - unfortunately I do not yet know what is causing them.

I've got steam up now and checked out the monitor button and lo up pops TFC running at about 50kb/s.

does this mean I'm d/l a patch or something ?

Just looked at the info for this and yes I was d/l the latest for tfc but found a drop down selection to prevent auto updates.
Vwalla - its stopped.

I 'll see if this makes for a better connection.

Hmmm mixed results - Ping is back to normal - no peeking or other non usual lag signs but the 3 of us were getting diconnected every 3 - 4 mins but could rejoin no prob.
